This bar is basically like a heavy metal "speakeasy". You have to know where it is, there's no sign outside that makes it clear. What does makes it clear, is the music coming out when they're having a show, also the door might be open. Otherwise, when an event/show is not happening, you cannot tell it's there. The staff is very helpful, and the sound system is really good. We've seen some amazing bands there, and I highly recommend more bands play there. I hope this place stays for a long time. It's a great venue.

I mean, what else is there to say other than St.Vitus is the best. If you like alcohol and metal music then you’re in the right place. 250 person capacity venue with a decent sound system for being in the back of a bar. If your favorite band is playing here then you’d be stupid not to get tickets and go. Picture is Bayside on 6/12/22

Excellent staff all around, front door, ticket person, bar. Friendly, fast and competent. Want to give a special shoutout to the sound guy, my brother played there and it’s the best I ever heard the band sound.

I love the crowd and atmosphere! They have a great selection of DJs and bands who play there. The quality of music is consistent. If you like dark wave, 80s stuff, this is your place. The drinks are very affordable and the bartenders are cool. That said, their dance floor is hotter than the jungle on the equator. No AC, no fan. Unfortunately, we tend to leave early because of this.

Pretty cool place and I enjoyed 80s night. However, the bartender didn’t have to be rude when asked what beers they have. He just slided their small menu with a stank attitude.

We haven't been back here since pre Covid. They've done some renovation, I miss seeing what it used to look like, but it's still the same bar. It's also nice to see the same bartenders there.

Saw Rotting Christ there so I can’t give less than 5 stars! But some work with the ventilation, especially when there is a concert, is much needed here. It was hellishly hot in there

Yes, the venue lacks ventilation by a huge margin. They also may benefit from turning on the TV that is behind the bar to broadcast the bands on stage. I enjoyed being both near the band and chilling at the bar listening to live music. Surprisingly the merch table wasn't terrible to get to, but if you didn't know it was there you may not see it. Cool bar. Went for Rotting Christ. There would have to be another great band like that playing for me to go again.
