The best bagels, sandwiches, pastries, and coffee I’ve found in Brooklyn, especially in Park Slope.

Incredible. The funky spicy tuna on a gluten free sesame bagel was so good that I came back the next day for a repeat. Plus the woman at the counter was such a delight and offered excellent suggestions. Would highly recommend.

Delicious bagels, the right level of chewiness and crispiness.
I’ve seen the review mentioning that they are small, I find that they are perfect size to feel full, but not too much to feel too full.
The whole wheat bagel is so good that I haven’t ordered anything else yet!
Price point is great, and the coffee tasted pretty good as well.

I've heard about this bagel spot but never been there yet. The best thing about these bagels is that they are small unlike all other NY bagels. And I could taste some sourdough on them. The only downside is the price. One bagel with plain cream cheese costs $4.99. But this is the price we pay for a good quality bagel in the expensive neighborhood.

Was brought here because they have some of the best bagels in the city and they weren't wrong. Giant sandwiches are available and worth it. I got a cold brew coffee and it was a tad on the bitter side for my liking (I always get it black)

Shelsky's is among the best bagels this side of the park, in my opinion. More expensive than bagel hole but comparable quality and a great deli/appetizing counter. Their sandwich selection is especially great and one of the few great places to get pork roll, egg, and cheese on a martin's roll, as well as scrapple. The bagels and breads are all great, as well as the fish and spreads. Every good appetizing shop and deli is worth the money, the quality differential is noticeable.

Breakfast sandwiches are all great, especially the scrapple egg and cheese with maple syrup. Never had a bagel I didn't like, it's also nice to have a real bialy to mix it up sometimes. Pastrami lox and whitefish salad are also very good.
2021 edit: Scrapple no longer on the menu, pastrami egg and cheese is my new go to. Top notch!

Incredible spot for tasty bagels. Went on a Saturday morning and there was no line. Placed my order with the salty, no nonsense lady and received one of the better lox sandwiches I’ve had around this part of town. Bagel was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect size. Cream cheese was thick and tasty. Lox was cold, and fresh, and well portioned. Coffee is solid. 10/10

A really fantastic bagel with smoked fish that tastes fresh and delicious. I only can't give them 5 stars because i believe murray's is a better bagel and mt. Kisko in NY is the best smoked fish on earth.
But if you are in brooklyn, the sable sandwich is a WOW and the Salmon one (member of the tribe) is very very good.

Very great bagel, price for quality.
a stellar establishment, I'm a big fan of bagels and this place does the bagel game justice and then some.
5/5, shelsky’s is the real deal. Don’t compare any bk bagel to them, they’re undeniably the best in park slope and a top 3 in Nyc. Btw, get the bialys.
Shelsky’s is one of the best bagels I’ve had in NYC. They go with a more crispy-outside-soft-inside style than in use to but this is good. Their spread options are more limited than I’d expect and their space is borderline tiny (but location is unbelievable). If they add cheddar to their jalapeño spread they’ll become the best bagel in park slope. The bagel game is strong in park slope but they do it right
