First time here. There's enough space to enjoy your meal with family. Freshly prepared, freshly cut, hot food you can't miss. Will definitely come back.
Taste so good that I can't stop eating 😋
The food was very good (try the beef stew) and not very expensive. The place is clean and well air conditioned. It was a pleasant place to sit and eat. The staff was polite and welcoming. It also wasn't overly busy when I went which was a plus.
Went yesterday, enticed by the assortment of meat in the showcase window. There was plenty to choose from, chicken, beef, pork and numerous sides. Pics below. I had some oxtails w arroz con gandules, (rice and peas) My plate was pretty large, with 4-5 oxtail pieces and a huge serving of rice and peas w a couple of plantains for $12. The oxtails were well seasoned. The star for me was the rice and peas. I was instantly transported back to Grandma's tiny apartment in the Bronx where we piled in every Sunday after church, eating from TV trays. Def going to get some again to share w my dad, so he can cosign on this being close to his mom's cooking. With so many menu options to choose from I will be back. Take out or eat in. Pleasant staff, clean environment.
Delicious Carribean flavors and scents welcome you the moment u set foot in this local sunset park gem. As with most Latin cuisine, the menu is packed with meats, stews and soups and rice dishes.. highly recommend the Mondongo Soup (picture below) and the wait staff is friendly (and cute!)
There is a sense of consideration when you first enter. And there is a good atmosphere here that will make enjoying your eating. The friendliness and the food go good together. Thanks Girl's I really enjoyed your in house restaurant hospitality. I'll see you soon.
One of Sunset's best place for Spanish food. The Pork Cracklings and the Alcapurrias are tasty. The service is good.
Came here with my brother in law, he invited us. You walk in and are taken aback by the looks of it all. But don't judge a book by its cover. The food was great, the portions were huge. And let's leave the best for last, the prices were amazing.
The food is great. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the portions could be bigger.
Hi my people, hope you all are bless today and always. I am visiting my parents here in Brooklyn NY and since I use to live here , I knew to come to 5th Ave. in Brooklyn to get some Puerto Rican food and Yes I did 😃❤. We went in ordered food even for my parents...couldnt wait to get home to eat and as I expected.. AWESOME FOODS. We had 2 yellow rice with pork shoulder and beans, 1 white rice with spaghetti and shrimp and, 1 yellow rice and chicken. Let's just say, happy plates all around ( All plates finished).
