Super duper delicious spot with lovely staff and great prices. My favorite bite was the goat in the biryani, it was so tender and succulent! Everything else was very good. My only complaint is that the chicken in the butter chicken was just chicken breast, and overall there wasn't much spice in anything, but I think both of those issues are just a byproduct of being in Clinton Hill and not a significantly Indian neighborhood. Overall great flavors and great prices!
This place is amazing! We popped in here just because we were hungry, but had no idea how good it would be. I had the Vegetable Jaifrazie and my husband had the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were wonderful, and the hot tea was just what we needed on a cold day.
Delicious food, good prices, and great service! Highly recommend. They have a two person special that gets you and appetizer, naan, and two entrees for ~$31 or so!
I really liked the cauliflower Manchurian appetizer. It is hard to describe what it did to my taste palate. It is nicely battered so the outside was crunchy without too much breading. The cauliflower inside was tender. Nicely seasoned.
I thought maybe to my eyes the portion sizes were small, but my tummy thinks otherwise. I felt pretty stuffed and even had to take the rest to go. The service was pretty timely.
I also ordered the chicken spinach dish and liked the thin julienned slivers of ginger garnish. The chicken was on pointe, tender and tasty. The mango lassi drink was good. The garlic naan was good as well that I wish the portion for that was larger. I would come back for more!
Been getting food here about once a week for the last year and can confidently say it’s our favorite neighborhood spot for take out by far. Super affordable, especially given how high quality it is. Everyone is super friendly. Highly recommend the saag paneer and the naan basket
Veg Samosa and 🌶 Chicken in a delectable tangy, garlicky mild spice sauce - Outstanding! Very nice, comfortable family style setting. The owner was welcoming, warm and friendly. Treat yourself and family to some Kitchen Grill Indian cuisine, you will be happy you did❤👍🏼
Naan is soooooo delicious :) My roommate started eating here literally five times a week and now we all do. Amazing lunch special
Lunch special salmon curry is my go to. The owner of this spot is so nice. Highly recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. Came in expecting generic Indian buffet style food which, in my experience, is always just okay in NYC. Boy was I wrong.
Firstly, there is no buffet. It's a-la-carte and the simple dish I ordered, Chicken curry with rice, was simply delicious. Having lived in India for 30 years, I can confidently say that this restaurant would have no difficulties being considered authentic, even on the streets of Bombay.
One of the best unpretentious meals I've had in my time in NYC.
Food is great - will definitely come back ... clean ... wait staff very attentive... can accommodate small groups ...
needs more ambience from their origin... will return in 6 months to see consistency
