Takeout review: I ordered the Wednesday wings combo special. It was vegan chicken wings with fried plantains and a lemonade drink. Everything was very tasty. Service was great. Just wish the portions were larger for the price ($20). Wait was about 20-30 minutes.

Ordered the chick'n and biscuits, Mac and cheese, and lentil patty. The chick'n and biscuits were full of flavor and the savory with the sweet raspberry jam complemented each other well! The fact that oyster mushrooms were used in place of faux meat was refreshing. Two come in an order so it could be shared since they are filling. The lentil patty was giving traditional jamaican beef patty vibes without the animal cruelty, highly recommend. Staff were friendly and the wait time for the food didn't take long at all! Looking forward to trying more.

I usually get the jackfruit panini but decided to try the chicken and biscuit. It was delicious. Intriguing flavor and extremely fulling. Staff is always sweet and the woman who i believe to be the owners mom even gave me a couple of masks free of charge. Great experience!

This was such a treated. Ordered jackfruit tamarind panini, stuffed plantains with beans and peppers, and hot raw cacao drink. Honestly our meal was super delicious and filling. The service was great. I suggest ordering ahead; it took a little while to get our order.

Horrible experience. I waited 45 minutes in a small space for a “stuffed plantain”, which really was one single plantain cut into 3 pieces and drowned in a can of beans and peppers. The taste didn’t even make up for it. I also ordered an avocado mushroom panini melt and all I got was bland mushrooms covered in black pepper with bits of avocado and soggy tomatoes and bread. Definitely not a panini, more of a wrap. Wasted $32 and STILL ended up having to buy a meal somewhere else to make up for it 🤦🏼‍♀️ NOT WORTH THE HYPE, NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. Don’t waste your time and money.

I’m not vegan; but I didn’t even realize my orders didn’t have meat in them. I bought the Tamarind jackfruit panini, cheesy garlic sticks, and the bacon kale tomato (bkt) flatbread. Ohh yeah, can’t forget about the chocolate chips and oatmeal cookies. Next time I would like to try the lentil patty. I had the riverside drink and that was just as flavorful. This place is a must go.

Amazing food and the owner is super sweet! My party consisted of two vegans and two non-vegans and everyone loved the food! This will be a stop whenever we visit New York. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Im a vegan new to Bushwick and I came across this restaurant (via google) and saw the great reviews. The menu had some intriguing items and it’s a black owned restaurant so I decided that was dinner for the night. The place is pretty cozy and quaint. The seamless menu online was a bit different from what was available when I got there. I wanted chicken and biscuit w/ collared greens on the side but I ended up with chicken scraps, cheesy pasta and collared greens all together. Portion size was a bit disappointing for $13!! I’ve had amazing vegan fried “chicken” before and was not expecting what i received. It was more like scraps instead of the breast/thigh size pieces which i was expecting. I really wasn't feeling good after that meal.
