Smith Street Bagels

So glad I love this place again! Lucky to get pumpernickel everything straight out of the oven! Started with one with regular cream cheese then had to have another with JUST Turkey bacon...nothing else. Bussin'!!! Best pumpernickel bagels I know of! Staff definitely do treat delivery workers with respect!!! Love that!

This is the place to get bagels. My only complaint is I have to pick “scooped or not scooped” when I order online and I am extremely nervous I am picking the one that offends nyc bagel places. I don’t care if it has cream cheese in the center! I just hate that I have 50/50 chance of offending. Aren’t all bagels scooped? It’s so confusing and knowing that NYC bagel makers get super offended by one of these choices gives me anxiety every day when I place an order and I order from them a lot! Which is the right one? Please remove the scooped/non scooped option, it is terrifying! If you don’t know what I’m talking about google offensive bagel scooped ordering guy. It’s so scary I just want a bagel and the bagel people to stay my friends!!!

came to Smith Street Bagels via a promo. never had a multigrain bagel but I am glad it did: full of hearty bread flavor in bagel form with a firm crust and a nice chew. the bacon-cheddar scallion cream cheese goes well with the multigrain--though the cream cheese only has the faintest hints of bacon. wish it had more full bacon flavor. the cream cheese has more cheddar and scallion notes in it than actual bacon-ness. service is quick. good amount of seating inside and outside in a very clean bright bagel shop.

Amazing breakfast spot! Yummy bagels, coffee and a must - pizza bagel. They also offer a wide variety of vegan options (not only salads but they have vegan eggs, vegan cheese, whole menu of vegan breakfasts and vegan bagels - I loved it). Also, stuff is really polite and I really do not understand why it is not a super popular place. Highly recommended.

The newly renovated and renamed Smith Street Bagels is the best! Bagels are great, service is great, the staff is always polite and friendly. Everything from the bagel sandwiches to the salads and new cafe/espresso bar are also a great touch. Eddie and the team continue to provide great service. Don't miss the black and white cookies!

Love this place! I placed an order online the night before for multiple platters for 35+ people. I did it for pickup the next morning, and everything was fantastic!!! Everything tastes great and looks amazing. I'm so happy how well it came out, and the people it was for were very happy! Definitely coming back!

After a 5-day trip to NY and previously visiting many parts around the world, I want to say hands down this is the BEST food experience I’ve had. Yes, it isn’t an ultra luxurious spot, but it’s everything you would want from a local place: cozy, tasty, CLEAN, and the person that took care of us was super-nice (especially considering NY’s standards lol). Even though we weren’t referred to them by anyone but rather chose them because they were the only ones open, I want to say it’s THE BEST SALMON BAGEL I’ve ever had. What else can you ask for? Thank you!
