Try this place!! The cookies are soooo good!I I also got a piece of cake and some roughalah and they were also delicious, even good the following day! I didn't get any challah to rate the bread but I'll definitely be going back. FYI, it is a small place and gets busy on Fridays. If you don't like crowds, don't go then.
i love passing by at this bakery and get myself some bread and pastries. so authentic. Hot bread early morning is what i love the most...God bless the owner for thriving since 1950’s.
The best and freshest classic Jewish pastries. Everything was delicious and the customer service was amazing too!

I have been coming to this place since a child my father used to take me and then after getting these nice streets he would take us across the street to a shoe store and which he bought me these ugly brogan shoes. I think it was his way of sweetening up for those ugly shoes he purchased me. Nonetheless this bakery has been around for a number of years and has not disappointed as of yet and I hope they do not ever because I will always come back when I'm in this neighborhood. I don't know the name of the cookies but it has a raspberry filling and they come in all shapes. The black-and-white cookies were absolutely awesome. As well as the linzer tart that I had and I do remember the black and white marble cake which they did not have I believe it's called a log cake. None the less I'll return no time soon because yes it is fattening to have all these sweets. But the holidays are coming up again I'll be there.
Obsessed with their marbled mandel bread! I can’t stop coming back for it. Bagels were also fresh and great texture. Highly recommend!
I consider Sander's Bakery as one of the best.
Not near my office, but worth the walk.
Great pastries and the smell is incredible as soon as you walk in. Just started going and will absolutely be frequenting it more in the future! Very nice people as well
Among the best rye breads in the universe, fragrant with caraway and with a wonderful, faintly sour tang, just as it should be. The chocolate roll, known elsewhere, incorrectly, as babka, is divine. Authentic Hungarian kakaós! Available Friday mornings, fresh for Shabbos breakfast.
Last time I went, their divine rye was only available Thursday mornings. Hasidim have taken up spelt bread now - that was unexpected - it rocked my world, which apparently is founded on the belief that the best rye bread will always be available. Mind, I haven’t tried the spelt, which is no doubt delicious too. These are terrific bakers. Worth a shlep from anywhere. Don’t miss it!
