I don’t recommend this place because I’d like to keep it to myself :) beautiful, quiet if no one’s playing arcade games but still one-of the perfect spots for a nice drink. Bartender was nice too.

Great selection of local beers. Will have to come back for the food during high season (Memorial-Labor).

This place is GREAT!! It's HUGE! Love the rooftop... nice view of the ocean😍 The food is good, a little "pretentious" (😏) and VERY OVERPRICED for the portions!! But certainly a place I WOULD recommend!!

10/10 would get married here again. My husband and I had our wedding (both ceremony and reception) at Kitchen 21 and it was the MOST AMAZING experience. Planning with Riley and her team was very enjoyable. A big part of what made our event such a success was the wonderful staff and team at Kitchen 21. Not only is the space beautiful, the team there is dedicated to making your event the best that it can be. During planning, they were so accommodating as we had many guests (including the bride) with severe food restrictions. We held the ceremony and the cocktail hour on the roof. The team set the space up beautifully, and the food was delicious! We even had a raw bar. Passed hors d'oeuvres included mini lobster rolls, sliders, mushroom and brie cups... we even had charcuterie boards. The reception was great. We held it family style, and the staff was top notch. There were so many bartenders that there was never a wait. Riley and her team made me feel so comfortable and they really took care of all the little things so that I never needed to worry. Even though our party was scheduled to end at midnight, everyone was having such a great time, that the Kitchen 21 team let us stay a bit longer. I HIGHLY recommend Kitchen 21 for any event.

The beautiful view. Not too crowded, but you supposed to wait like a 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar downstairs. They also have a rooftop with this incredible view. And mushroom pizza with truffle oil.... supergood. But you have to do something with your bar downstairs, hire some bartenders.

Kitchen 21 is a combination of everything that's great about Coney Island all in one location. It was carved out of the long-derelict Child's Restaurant off the Boardwalk that once had its heyday during Coney Island's Golden Age. Over the past few years, the building was lovingly restored back to it's original splendor including original nautical-themed plates that adorn the facade. Humongous semi-circular windows that punctuate the walls of the building give diners great views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Parachute Jump, and MCU Stadium. The restaurant is actually composed of three distinct sections: a rooftop bar, a ground-floor cafe where you can order from a 'to-go' menu, and a more formal restaurant. Diners have a choice of sitting at a high table or a low table. The place pays homage to old Coney Island with various amusement park items such as a bumper car and High Striker strongman game. There is also a reproduction of one of the original Parachute Jump chairs. Up to three people can sit on the chair and make it bounce up and down. We sat down and ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari, which was drizzled with some sort of brown sauce was one of the most delicious I've ever tasted. For the main course, my son and I ordered a Mediterranean Chicken sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was fresh and delicious including the glazed bun that held the sandwich together. The only drawback was the slippery layer of olive tapenade that made the sandwich fall apart, but that was a price I didn't mind paying for such a delectable sandwich. Complementing the sandwich was a decent portion of freshly-cut onion-flavored french fries. My meal was topped off with a TALL glass of Mermaid Beer that was "imported" from the Coney Island Brewery two blocks away. By the time our waiter asked if we wanted a dessert menu, I was too stuffed to say yes. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the quality and healthy-sized portions of each dish were well worth our visit.

I was there on a Friday evening. Beautifully redone. A lot of effort and work. It has great potential. The food is very good (seemingly fresh). However the service was not good. A tomato salad took 25 minutes to arrive as an appetizer. The other food was just as slow Things were forgotten, instructions not followed. The staff was friendly but either newbies, not trained properly, or simply not enough staff, or perhaps the fault is the kitchen.i gave a 4 bc it has great potential and we did have a great time being on the beach front.
