I came here 9 years ago when I was a little kiwi in the big NYC, I was just telling my partner about it. I sat in the shop and had a pie and a flat white. Felt just like home.
Beautifully crafted coffee drinks, specifically their signature flat white, which they were serving well before the chains started copying it. The pies are pure indulgence.
love love love the chocolate cake. so moist, perfectly sweet and chocolatey with a touch of espresso. the lamb pie is divine.
Pies are excellent! Crust is flaky and tasty, meats & whatnot are very flavorful. 10/10 little half lunch / snack. Coming back for sure.

I have never been there, i will most likely never go there. I mean...i dont live in the US. But the movie "Blue in the Face" (involving Jim Jarmusch, Harvey Keitel, Michael J Fox, Madonna and (sadly) Rosanne) has been shot at exactly that location, making it a place of film history. That alone is worth the 5 stars. :D
I have ordered a large rainbow unicorn cake for delivery from Betty Bakery for my son's birthday. The cake was beautiful, huge & super tasty. They delivered on time and made the whole experience easy. The only snafu was trying to make space in the fridge for the cake 2x the size I envisioned. :D
The coffee was good and the pumpkin bread was delicious!
The cookies are quite good.
We've tried almost all the non-breakfast pies and have absolutely loved every one of them. Don't miss the Argentine empanada.
