The best burger I've had! The beef just melts in your mouth. The chicken tikka extremely juicy and flavorful. The lamb chops were tender with the perfect amount of seasoning. Definitely can taste the difference with organic meat. Recommended!

OVERALL: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! What an unexpected surprise Visiting friends (like family) in NY for Thanksgiving and they suggested BK Jani. It was a long drive and I almost said no, but so glad that we made the drive from Westchester to Brooklyn. From the outside it is an assuming place. You step inside and it is bright, cheerful and cozy. The walls are adorned with bright murals, the ceiling is strung with fairy lights, and there is a collage of customer reviews on one of the walls (I wish I had left a comment there). I guess I will have to go back. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. So to start of I want to say that I am not a meat lover (the reason for my initial hesitation), but now I know that I am not a lover of mediocre meat that is found at the majority of the restaurants. I love the meat served at BK Jani. Here is what we had.. - Grilled corn (chili) - I have great memories of it from road side vendors in Lahore and Murree. Perfectly grilled and rubbed with lemon/chili - Lamb chops with a mint/cilantro chimichurri sauce. The amazing thing was that there was no smell of lamb. - Beef Tikka - Grilled cubes of filet mignon with their own spice rub (the recipe is sure to be a safely guarded secret) - 808 burger - Mouthwatering ground beef patty, with sautéed Jalapeño - The Jani Burger - I assume where it all started as it is the namesake of the restaurant. Ground beef patty, perfectly cooked with mint chutney. - Sweet Potato Fries - Limeade - An ode to the Pakistani Sikanjabeen - Mango Jan- Mango Juice with a hint of spices I can not believe I ate all this meat in one sitting. I walked out full, content and happy. Sad only coz I know what I will not get when get back to SF. I need to plan my next NY trip soon.

For all New Yorkers.. don’t miss on this opportunity to try this amazing place. You will not regret it.

We had a great experience at BK JANI. The employees were very nice and the food was fantastic. They offer regular burgers and sandwiches, but also items with a Pakistani twist. We tried The Jani which is their signature burger, and it didn’t disappoint. I could do with a bit less raita in it but other than that, it was delicious. We also had the Nihari sandwhich with some masala fries. Both were great but possibly the best thing we had were the Lamb Chops. The flavour and texture in them were amazing. They’re a bit on the spicy side, but worth it. Everything here is halal and while it’s not the biggest place inside, there’s a mix of large and small tables.

Definitely still ranked as one of the top halal burgers out there. Been visiting from the early days since it opened. It’s bit more than most halal burger joints but worth the ride out to Brooklyn.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. I went with the Backyard Burger, medium -- everything was just right about it, and the fries were quite good, a good crunch to them with enough potato flavor, not over-salted. You can tell that they pay attention to the details to deliver a top-tier burger.

You want fusion south Asian burgers? You want a vibrant place with down to earth staff? You’d like a causal byob place where you can bring your own alcohol and just have a fun time without the wait staff hovering over you constantly. Well then this is the place. Beautiful art work embracing the walls and a thousand led lights like stars shall embrace your evening. Started off with the lamb chops. They are like the best lamb chops you’ve had but with a south Asian twist. Then we ordered the masala fries along with beef kebabs. Deliciouso! We then ordered the Jani and the Lahori burger. Both were good but my preference is the Lahori burger. A juicy meaty burger with a hint of spice. Their mango jani, a sparking mango non alcoholic drink is super delicious and goes great with tequila or mezcal. A fun cosy place you wouldn’t wanna miss.
