Hanco's is a South Slope institution, an enduringly popular spot for local teenage crews to hang and feed their bubble tea addictions, an authentic Vietnamese joint with wholesome banh mi sandwiches and uplifting, fortifing pho soups. Consistently good fare and youthful vibe.

I recently visited Hancos at their new-ish 7th Avenue location. The lychee bubble tea was excellent, the boba was fresh and the tea was not overly sweet. I usually order the shredded chicken banh-mi sandwich or shrimp spring roll in rice paper, which is always yummy :) This time I was trying to go for something lighter than the bread but more filling than the rolls so I tried the rice Vermicelli bowl. It was served as a cold salad with vermicelli noodles, shredded carrots, cucumber and grilled chicken cooked to perfection. Basically, all the goodness of the sandwich minus the bread and mayonnaise. It was delish!!! I would recommend a visit the next time you're in Park Slope.

I love hancos a lot!!! This one is right by my job so I get it almost every Friday. The bubble tea is great and the selection of flavors is amazing. Don’t be fooled though, if you are not a fan of tapioca they have 3 or more substitutes for it!!! I typically get the honeydew milk tea with boba! I love hancos and it is great for a quick refreshing drink! Their banh mi is also amazing

The best Vietnamese chicken sandwich in Park Slope, mostly chicken but sometimes pork, it took me a while trying other places, but this place is just great.

Banh mi & bubble teas are yummy! Nothing extraordinary but always a solid meal. Their banh mis use a smaller hero than most other spots but I don’t mind since the bread tastes fresh. Really enjoyed their honeydew bubble tea

Pros: I was craving a banh mi sandwich - came upon this place saw they had sardine sandwich got it and fell in love. The BREAD is so fresh its like it just came out of the oven so soft and buttery, I use to the bread on the hard side from other places I dine. Other than that the filling was typical bahmi filling. A mixed of vinegar sweet and spicy I also had their typical milk tea with tapioca, same as milk tea you'll find in China. Simple. Tapioca perfectly large soaked not hard Con: I asked for the make spicy but it was lacking, I wish they threw some jalapeños in it with extra cilantro and veggies

Good boba—very tasty and perfect temperature! 😊 I ordered the chicken pho with chicken broth. Amazing broth and all but the chicken itself even after having the pho together—was so under seasoned? Had to add spices from my own cabinet. Hopefully it was just a bad batch of underseasoned meat but wouldn’t recommend unless you have extremely sensitive tastebuds

I lived in Vietnam for three years, and I'm pretty picky with my Vietnamese food. I had a classic Banh Mi and some shrimp rice paper rolls (summer rolls). Both were spotttt on! I really couldn't ask for much more. Simple. Delicious. Authentic. Will definitely go back when in the area.

Found this spot on ChowNow and pre-ordered for lunch. Wanted to go a little outside the box on my banh mi so I chose sardine and I was very happy I did. The marinated veggies were crisp and fresh, and the sardine melted nicely into the warm roll. Good sauce, nice and light. Also got a summer roll with shrimp. Nice peanut sauce, a large serving which I appreciate bc I go hard on that stuff. Cute location.
