We popped in late on one of the hottest days of the summer to get a brief respite from the heat and quick bite.  When you walk in immediately on your left is the cooler filled with meats ready to hit the heat - kebabs, of course, in their various iterations.  I ordered the chicken kebab dinner and my GF ordered falafel & hummus.  Both were good representations and tasty - nothing super fancy but definitely a better option than eating a few blocks away on the boardwalk where the fare is overpriced.  A little bit of language barrier with the waitstaff, but then again that is expected in the ethnic pockets and it makes the experience that much the more interesting.  Overall a positive experience.

After a couple recent delicious meals at Hazar Turkish Kabab in Bay Ridge, I realized I had not written about many Turkish restaurants in the city and immediately wanted to rectify this situation. Trips to Brighton Beach often involve well laid plans for eating, and all past trips by the front of Beyti Turkish Kebab have been made with full stomachs. The fun fake gyro spit above the awning is barely noticeable since the two real spits inside the window are almost the same size and much more appetizing. As any good spit should, they call to passersby even when the windows are closed in the winter.

Like Eating in Istanbul!. It was like eating in Istanbul and then going over to the Black Sea after dinner.
The restaurant is in Brighton Beach Brooklyn.
We were the only non Turkish people there!

I went to a Turkish restaurant in Manhattan called Sip Sak (see my pictures) and they advertised on the menu that they have Turkish chicken wings. But when I got to Sip Sak they said it is only a special and they only have it on occasion.
We found this in Brighton Beach and they do have Turkish chicken wings!
They have a special oven where they make special Turkish dishes often called Turkish pizza and Turkish bread. They make it fresh daily from 3:30 PM -5:30 PM Here at Beyti Turkish Kebaob they have

Lahmacun Portion..
Sucuklu Kasarli Pide,
Karisik Pide,
Kasarli Pide Kiymali Pide. Their Turkish pizza is the largest we have had and was delicious and addictive! We ate like animals and made a mess! Several of the Turkish restaurants we have been to do not have this oven or these dishes. But if you have not had Turkish pizza do yourself a favor and try it especially if you are lactose intolerant. There is no cheese on it! They make their own Turkish bread or Pide here too! They give you as much as you can eat or ask for! I heard from someone Turkish that I know that they are known for Kebobs. But we did not have any Kebobs.
I think the highlight of the meal was the Turkish pizza and the Turkish chicken wings. They were marinated and super juicy!
We also had "chicken chops". I have never had that before! It was like a pork chop cooked on a grill but it was chicken! It was slightly dry but came with 2 sauces. But the grill taste was really good!
I have looked on different Turkish menus outside of NYC and they have that. It tastes kind of like chicken Kebabs without the stick. The sauces that it came with were really good! But the wings were the highlight.
We had a vegetarian combination platter. It was okay. Not bad not great. But it is nice to have a vegetarian platter.
The service was really fast and professional!
We ate like animals the portions were a good size and the price was in expensive. They had a good list of desserts that we did not have room for!
Turkish Kebab is very casual, more like a take out with a few tables. The restaurant was doing tons of take out business. And the tables were all full!
The restaurant is within walking distance to the beach as well. So if you are looking for great food at inexpensive prices near Brighton Beach, this is it! I need to add that my husband thinks about it constantly until we go back in summer We must have been there 10 times by now! We only go in summer due to their location in Brighton beach.

Had great experience here while in the area. The portions were very generous in size and the food came out super quick. We enjoyed a couple of different dishes and I must say the chicken kabob was very good. I’m glad they had an option of fries since I typically do not like rice with my meals. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good meal.

My falafel sandwich was good but not mind blowing. I’m not from New York and have been to Turkey and have Turkish extended family so I don’t know how it compares to the average falafel in this city. I’m sure it’s above average. My husband had better luck with his sandwich. I’d definitely take something with meat next time. The desserts are delicious and homemade. They don’t cheap out with the Blaklava which had pistachio inside and the Kazandibi was excellent.

Very rustic old school vibe. The people are very friendly. And the food is amazing. I love the lamb pita and shepherds salad. The prices are affordable and you can order it on most of the delivery apps. If Mediterranean cuisine is your thing, I definitely would recommend

It is my go to place when visiting Mom on Brighton Beach. Food is always warm, fresh and to absolutely to die for. You have to start the meal right with Sheppard salad with shredded feta cheese and calf liver cubes. Take a few breaths after you wolf them down then hit the menu for main course,. It's absolutely impossible to make a mistake. Lovely people work the place and try really hard to deliver good service.
