Brasserie Witlof

This place should be in Paris somewhere tucked in where no tourist can find it. Actually this place should be the place that everyone should find because it is such a wonderful cocktail bar and food joint. Guess what? It's not a French Bistro it's a Belgian one! Get there early so you can see it fill up. Get there even earlier so you can have the halibut before it runs out. Get there earlier still so you can have the steak frittes just as good as if Pastis was still open. I have been there for brunch and the fare was authentic. I have read all of the reviews on here and they are just not giving it their all. On my third time there I was most impressed. I have not hit a sour thread here at all. My luck I suppose. I have been here three times in the past month. The vibe is always smooth and the crowd is always easy on the eye as the food is warm for your soul. Everyone that is on in this place is there to see that your night is a good one. I have always had fun here. It might sound like I am offering up massage parlor review for this place but it is that inviting. It is this enticing. It is all that you would want a corner bistro to be. It is tiny but it packs a larger than it is presence. From the staff to the plates. From the cocktails and the advice to try something different are dead on. I can not wait to go back!
