Honest Polish Cuisine. I loved Christina's for what it represents about Greenpoint: a cultural integrity and celebration of Polish identity in an area that probably will gentrify in the next decade and sweep away a lot of that integrity and identity. The food at Christina's is heavy and honest. It's not heavily spiced or gourmet quality. And yet, as I bit into the stuffed cabbage, I had the distinct impression that the forcemeat was made by a person in the kitchen, and that the cabbage leaves were painstakenly removed by someone in that kitchen and wrapped around the forcemeat. I love kasha, and the healthy helping of it alongside the stuffed cabbage created a delightful combination of flavors. The browned white cabbage with plenty of pork was also very tasty. Nonetheless, the flavors do not "zing" or "pop" in my mouth. They simply remind me of what Greenpoint was and is about: a neighborhood where young mothers walk along the streets pushing their baby strollers and speak in Polish, about people who work hard and hold to the traditions that give them a sense of their identity. About people who honor their culture through excellent food and are happy to share it with newcomers and outsiders.
Stick to Your Ribs Delights. The food is so good that it will distract you from flirting with the beautiful waitresses. Try the goulash with potato pancakes.
French Toast was made with a nice sweet cheese version and it was lovely! Now we know what to do with leftover babka next time. I also loved the fresh fruit on top. Keith ordered two eggs scrambled with kielbasa, which is Polish sausage.
the restaurant changes the owner, but. still. operates under the old name. Traditional Polish cuisine, nice and fast service. I did not wait for the table.I ate tomato soup - very good, tasted like homemade!I also ordered a traditional Polish casserole whit mushrooms, I haven't eaten fast food in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised!I recommend!

I came here on a whim, wasn't even going to come into the neighborhood but I had a change of plans. I sat down and the server Nana was very friendly and told me about special, which I ordered. I found the friend and it just so happened that he was in the neighborhood and decided to join me. They played some pretty cool music and it was a nice change from the usual food that I eat. Definitely a good representation of food from Poland.
Every dish was delicious. I really liked its ambience which shows restaurant's history. The lady who was serving was also very kind...we really enjoyed dining here.
Casual spot, nothing too fancy! But quite good food!
I visited Christina's with a friend's recommendation.
I was excited because it was my first time visiting a Polish restaurant.
The price range was reasonable and the atmosphere was good.
However, it was inconvenient because I had to pay in cash.
But it's a place I want to visit again!✨
You can’t go wrong with the food here. I always start with the Polish Plate #1 and then get more. The Hungarian plate rocks and the beet carpaccio is a really nice salad. Need Polish food come here.
The food here and the service was delicious. The black current juice mixed w (a side of) seltzer is yum. The beet salad was really good too. I ordered the liver platter with mashed potatoes and saurkraut. It was large and everything on it was so good. Everyone loved their choices.
Excellent Polish food in Greenpoint. Pierogies, stuffed cabbage, and kielbasa were great!
My kind of place! Everything was so delicious that we all had a food-buzz euphoria as we filed out. The white borscht is amazing!
It’s no secret that Greenpoint is spoiled with excellent Polish food, but - if I had to pick one - it’d be Christina’s that I always wish I could have taken with me when I moved from the neighborhood. Krystyna, the namesake chef-owner, will almost always be in the kitchen, as she has been since 1993.
Menu highlights include the Polish platters, fried pierogi, and Christina’s omelette, a decidedly modern spinach- and avocado-packed gem that wouldn’t be out of place at Five Leaves. With most items sneaking in below $10, Christina’s represents unbeatable value for money, but don’t forget that it’s still cash-only!
