Really excellent, seasonal menu, and very hearty portions for the price! They know how to perfectly roast a chicken but also how to make veggies and vegetarian dishes exciting. The bar can make any drink; they really know their cocktail history and how to make the classics right. This is SUCH a gem of a spot.

We arrived for Brunch and were seated with menus. The server never asked if we would like coffee, tea or a cocktail. Returned 15 minutes latee to take drink and food order. Took another 15 minutes for a Mimosa and then served our meals. The server never returnes to the tabke to ask how our meals were or if we needed another beverage. The server basucakky allowed us to sit for nearly an hour without checking on us. I had to ask the bus girl for our check.
Food was fair and not of any quality beyond going to a Diner. This spot need less frumpy servers who smile and are attentive as well as improve food presentation. Not an enjoyable experience.

Cool atmosphere. Similar menu items served at other nearby restaurants. Fish and Chips were weak. Plenty of chips with three little pieces of fried fish. Could use more seafood for a nautical themed restaurant.

Decent yet incredibly unremarkable in every way except the price tag. Ordered Dorado and told it would be for 2. Fish shows up and it's barely for one. Bill comes and it is $49. Menu says MP but I had to ask where I could find this market where they shop for their fish? Whole Foods? Could get the same Dorado anywhere in BK for half the price. Just frustrating when restaurants treat customers like fools.
Clam fettuccini was too oily, the trout spread was unspreadable. Oysters were solid. Drinks were tasty.

Oysters for $1 each from 5 to 7. Came 7:01, asked host if I made it for oysters, owner came out - "no, it is 7:02 and we are giving them away". Well great, my office is down the block and I want nothing for free.

You want iconic New York landmark? Right here, folks.
Walking in is like stepping into a time machine. Where to? Manhattan, 1920s. Pre-stock market crash.
Decor just oozes glamor. Yeah, it's opulent but this is where high society dined back then. Think of the famous hands that have touched those antique revolving doors. The business deals made in those red leather booths. The fist fights, the love affairs, the drama of it all.
I can't really wax about the food since it was borderline forgettable. Neither good nor bad, just there. Same for service. But I highly recommend the vodka menu and the cocktails. After a few Ballet Russes, I was pirouetting the entire way home.
All in all, ya ain't here for the food. It's about the history, the experience, the legend. Relish in it, because very few restaurants in New York still have...it.

The food is AMAZING. Honestly even the risotto is fantastic and this is a seafood place. Get there between 5-7 for dollar oyster happy hour.

Long story short- two big rats with long tails joined the party, one of which crawled on my friends foot. They charged us half the amount for the inconvenience. Boring brunch menu. Not going back.
