Went into La Caye before show at BAM. Had the fantastic Kabrit La Caye (Goat Stew). I have eaten goat many times, mostly from Indian restaurants, this was FAR better. The Macaroni Au Gratin side dish was great as well. My cousin also loved the goat, and his Conch dish as well.

I work up the block from La Caye I have walked pass this place 100s of times. I never ever stopped in. I had guests come from Cincinnati who never had Haitian food. So Boom there you have it. First of all the waiter/server/ Finehaitian man. His name is Anthony, I never drunk so much water in my life. Swoon. Now the food. I ordered the creole wings. They make them exactly how I love them fried and seasoned.....yummy. But my craving was that Griot and Black rice. Can I say this night it was perfect juicy and tender. Hunntty it was everything ..My guest tried this Fritay and the fried goat.... I wish there was an emoji that can show my happy dance when I get food that is so damn satistying. Will I be back yes and I am bringing my whole crew... Brooklyn girl who will travel for food.. and I have been to Haiti

Great food with the exception of their fish in sauce; tasted like tomato paste. Also i think they're trying too hard to Americanized the dishes; FYI Americans loved the dishes because they were authentic.

This place has amazing Haitain cuisine and the staff from the host to the bartender to the waitresses and chefs are all just bundles of joy. The name Lacaye which means Home really is represented in this place when you step inside and the food ooh so good almost felt like mama cooked it. Here's a picture of one of the dishes I had there😊😋

I am a big fan of this restaurant especially being that I am Haitian. The food/drinks are good. I love the atmosphere. You don't have to be haitian to enjoy it. Try the appetizers...they are amazing! It's definitely a restaurant favorite for me! Also try the macaroni Soo good! Great spot to take your significant other out on a date and then enjoy downtown Brooklyn.

Great Haitian food!! I was so glad my daughter and I decided to pop in on a Sunday afternoon. Great ambiance: not too noisy, but you could still hear the "kompas" playing in the background. If you want something different, not many have tried Haitian food ( not all West Indian food is the same), you’ll not be disappointed. Nice upscale Haitian fare , the place is cozy. I had the “fritay” platter with griot, accra, banane frit, side of macaroni au gratin. My daughter had the “legume” with black mushroom rice. Delicious. We left fuuull “gwo vaunt”🤣 I will be letting all my friends know about this little gem.

It's a nice, cozy restaurant with friendly employers and an amazing chef. The food was absolutely amazing, and fresh. I enjoyed every bite!!!! The presentation was just right. I happened to go on a night where there was a small band - music was soothing and fit. All in all I'd definitely recommend and I'll be back soon.

There were a total of 19 of us celebrating a coworker's retirement and let me honestly say that the food was awesome. However, you're served fresh food made as ordered so therefore, the waiting time is a tad bit longer than usual. My advice is to have a light snack before the event. Great job chief!!

Recently got engaged and wanted to do a formal dinner for both our parents. My future in-laws never had Haitian food (where my family is from). So I wanted to go somewhere where they can have a little dose of my culture. Good place. A bit Americanized. Wished they played the Haitian music a bit louder. But it's located across the street from the Brooklyn Academy of Music. I get the demographic and Target population isn't really Haitians. But I appreciate people being able to see and taste cultures cuisine. Food was good. The cremas banging!!!

I brought my friends, who have different ethnic backgrounds (Asian, American, Middle Eastern), to La Caye to introduce them to the amazing food that I experienced all my life, and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and it was great to see all of my friends enjoyed the unique and flavourful cuisine of my heritage. It was a true moment of haitian pride.

I loved this place! I have been to many other Haitian restaurants and this one really surprised me. From the decor, to the service, the food, the restroom, the ambiance......loved it. It had me hooked from the beginning to the end. Although I must admit the sangria was not as great as I had, it wasn't bad; It was ok. I even blogged about it. I will definitely be back!
