We ordered the fried zucchini and baked clams. I had the tuna with avocados, which was delicious. The fried calamari was delicious. It was not greasy, nor was it rubbery. It was very good. The meal was expensive but delicious. The waitstaff was very helpful. The water glasses were always full. Great service. I would recommend this Italian restaurant.

Was not busy. Service is great. Food? Well, we made a mistake. When you go to a Chinese place you order Chinese food. When you go to a Peruvian joint you order Peruvian food. When you go to an Italian Eatery you eat Italian food. This is an Italian Eatery. I limit my pasteurized dairy intake and a lot of this food has pasteurized dairy. I ordered something without it, meaning not a traditional Italian dish. Wife did also. She liked it and my food was good too. Although not 5 start good. The desserts were great. Did i say the service was good? It was great as a matter if fact. Nice place.

This place somehow strikes the balance between old-school Italian-American Bay Ridge and actual authentic Italian, although it leans toward the former. The menu is massive, but it's not over-saturated with those red-sauce favorites you've gotten tired of. Get the fried mozzarella appetizer, it isn't the kids' menu mozzarella sticks that your kid always gets with his chicken fingers. For entrees, they do lamb really well, especially the rack of lamb in a Merlot reduction sauce. There's an Italian way to do meat, and Areo knows how to do it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the baked shrimp with asparagus and zucchini... Preceded by an awesome green apple Martini.... Great food and ambience

One waiter was cool. Others were a bit terse for my liking. Asked for a drinks menu and he said they didn't have one- it's all the usual stuff. Asked what champagne they had and he answered as if I was pestering him. Octopus appetizer was good. Rib eye was not. Overdone and the herbs were over powering. It completely masked the taste of the beef (or alleged beef...I couldn't tell).

went there for dinner after a long day and I must say I had a bad experience. Starting with the service which was not very attentive. When the waiter came to take our order we were asking about the menu and was not given very good descriptions of the meals. Everything was just described as small pieces and very indifferently. Felt as if we were bothering him by asking. Either way we ordered but were not checked on to see if we needed more water/butter etc. We were only able to get anything if we pulled a waiter to the side and asked. Once the meals came in, everything felt luke warm as if they were just warmed up and not cooked. I ordered the lamb which came out dry and my friend's orders came out similar OK but not worth the price. In short, I would not come back to Areo due to the bad service or the food quality based on the price.
