Flavorful and Filling. That's how I'd best describe Aita Trattoria. The black ink pasta was exquisite and the lasagna was really enjoyable as well with its layers upon layers of fresh pasta and gooey cheese. The atmosphere is chill and comforting, perfect for the cuisine and service was friendly. I'm looking forward to exploring the menu more as my aunt noted that she hasn't been disappointed by any meal she's had there. This is definitely a restaurant you should try, 100% recommend.

Woke up this morning with Hollandaise on my mind. A quick Google search led me to Aita Trattoria, and… my oh my… Google didn’t fail. From the moment I walked in, till the time I asked for a check, the entire experience was just phenomenal. All female team working in unison providing a military brigade service with a flair of a Royal Ballet. Five stars! Coffee was good, ginger lemonade gingery but the main star(s) was the food. Act 1. • SALMON FLORENTINE BENEDICT - Poached eggs, mixed grain toast, smoked salmon pastrami, spinach, bearnaise sauce (which I substituted with jalapeño hollandaise), served with rosemary home fries and mix greens. A perfectly poached egg gently hugging delicate flesh of smoked salmon resting on a rustic slice of toast. Everything covered with just the right amount of jalapeño hollandaise sauce. Rosemary home fries could possibly have been the best home fries I’ve ever had and together with simple salad, dressed lightly with vinaigrette played a supporting, but substantial role in this dining spectacle. Five stars! Intermission - Sausage of unknown pedigree Good enough, seasoned enough. Not the feature attraction. Act 2. SHRIMP HASH - Fried polenta, scallion, asparagus, bacon, fried egg. Sounds like a simple enough story, yet the flavors, textures, colors and scents were simply poetic in their perfect marriage of shrimp, polenta, asparagus, bacon and egg. Humble and rustic, yet fit for a king. Five stars! Overall an excellent performance that will linger in my mind for a good while. I will definitely come back for encore.

Overall rating: 4.4 Good pasta in crown heights, dare I say best. Lower rating than 5 because it’s so expensive! I understand crown heights is basically gentrified at this point, but jeesh. Small portions too? I will come back when I’m craving pasta, but since I don’t live in the area I would have to really crave it. It’s also a tad too tight for me, but still worth a try.

Sunday Brunch was amazing! I had the Peach French Toast w/Bacon. My friend had the Frittata w/Avocado &Greens. We also ordered a homeade Limoncello Spritzer and a Mimosa for cocktails. I was so full, I had to take a piece of Tiramisu home. The service was also top tier headed by Dominic Borghese. He and the wait staff were friendly, attentive and jovial. We ate, drank and laughed in rotation. What a wonderful way to end the weekend❣️

Food at Trattoria is amazing. We had pappardelle ai funghi (incredible!!!) and spaghetti alle vongole: both recipes are following the Italian cousine style. To start we had Radicchio salad and the special Endive salad with fennel, orange and olive: delicious. Neither to say we ended up with the tiramisu. The ambiance is lovely, cozy and welcoming as well as the service. Strictly suggested, we will be back! Grazie!

We randomly walked into this place for dinner one day and have since been back several times. The food is generally excellent and comes in good-sized portions. The waitstaff are extremely professional and make you feel well-cared for. They also have a number of vegetarian options and can accommodate vegan diners as well.

Super delicious and affordable. A friend and I split a carafe of wine, I had the bolognese which was incredible. The portion was large and I couldn’t finish it, but that may have had something to do with the calamari that I positively gobbled up that I definitely recommend. This is a great place for dinner and their outdoor dining is cozy and private enough. Highly recommend if you need to get to the train quickly, as it’s just on the corner.

Superb brunch!! I had the Oxtail Burger (cooked medium), and the Cure (two eggs, home fries, bacon, and a blue berry pancake). The burger was so juicy and melted in my mouth. The breakfast potatoes were seriously my favorite! They were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. YUMMY!!! Between the Oxtail Entree and the Cure, I would recommend going with the Cure. The variety hit every taste bud. Thank you Aita Trattoria for such a great experience!!! I for sure recommend trying their brunch or visiting their sister restaurant Aita. I had dinner there and it was one of the best Italian dinners I ever had.
