I would just like to start by saying that this is one of my favorite bars (Ringolevio in the front, 456 bar in he back) I’ve ever been to. Because I was staying in the area to see Phish December 28-31 of 2017, we utilized this bar on every capacity possible. It was beyond frigid and we were so thankful to have this so close; we essentially used it as our living room. What a living room it was! Excellent ambiance inside and out, cool, thoughtful art, excellent brunch and drinks and the staff- oh my goodness the staff.
Since we stayed for 5 days, the 7 of us were so thankful to have such an amazing place to hang out- amazing music and some of the best folks you could ever happen to encounter in any establishment. We all became friends and there simply wasn’t another option of a place to go when we needed brunch, a quick beer/cocktail before heading into the city for the shows at Madison Square
garden, or a night cap before bed.
We first met Shy, a great server and super kind person as well as Lola and Lim. They were all soooooo great, and I love all three of them! We soon got to know Andrew and Ryan as well as the owner Paul. They were all great- No complaints on our 5 days of being there. Paul has cultivated an amazing space which i will return to anytime I’m in the area. And let’s not forget Al at the door at night- he greeted me by name and welcomed me in the door for the late night.
I simply can’t say enough good about this place! Come here, you won’t regret it.
Also, make a game of trying to see all there is to see
In this funky, quirky, awesome, welcoming space. 11/10 is my review ❤️
amazing atmosphere, live music more days of the week than not, staff is a bunch of rockstars, food is excellent. i really can’t say enough good things about this place. bk steel has brought a new wave of people in and they handle it with expertise.
One of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. The food and service is always on point. The best part about this place is that you can decide if you want to dine in the front dining area or in the back lounge area which is much more comfortable and usually has live music during the week.
I’m from out of town and was lucky enough to get an AirBnB down the street from this restaurant with an adjoining café. I got takeout last night - a delicious handmade tagliatelle pasta with mixed mushrooms and I went to the café this morning and had a great coffee and almond croissant.
There is such a great vibe here! It is such a welcoming and cool space. Lots a great nooks and spaces to connect and eat. Get the homemade pasta with mushrooms! Sooo good!
I had the the skirt steak. It was a but fatty for my taste. The appetizers for good and the wine was great. I would try other dishes. The prices are are very fair.
The pasta was so fresh and flavourful, we had a wonderful evening here, all for a great price
Great bar/ restaurant the space is thoughtfully decorated and the food is good priced and amazing the cheese/ meat platter was good and the bruschetta style small dishes are great. Drinks are amazing and the bar / outdoor area are great to hangout with friends. Live music on most nights. Love this place
Stopped in at this place midday after a rough night. Totally chill atmosphere, friendly staff , great music. Wish this place was in my own neighborhood, I'd be here all the time.
The most darling neighborhood coffee shop/cafe. It's my favorite place to crank out some work or sit and catch up with a friend over coffee. It's so cozy -- feels like you're in a friend's living room in the best way.
I resigned myself to a cozy evening inside, when the sun came out and my girlfriend called to invite me out for dinner. We came here because it's one of her favorite spots in the neighborhood, and she couldn't believe that I had never come before. We sat outside in the beautiful, plant filled cafe and soaked in the beautiful evening, and scenery! There are so many cool knicknacks to look at among the plants and flowers, and a cool assortment of people also enjoying dinner and drinks. We shared a bottle of the special white wine that the server told us about, and switched plates midway through our dinner, so we could both enjoy the handmade pasta(meat lasagna that was PERFECT) and the red snapper(lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked). As if my impromptu night out couldn't get any better, our server mentioned that there was live music about to start in the back lounge area. We took our glasses of wine and settled into a cozy couch to watch some of the best live jazz and R&B that I've seen in awhile. Over all, I'm SO glad I didn't stay in the other night, and can't wait to be back to my new favorite neighborhood spot.
Awesome drinks, brunch, and homemade Italian pastas and dishes!
