Burgers were good size. Patties were FRESH, and cooked exactly the way you asked for. We ordered $3 Happy Hour truffle fries, but the way to go is their sweet potato fries. Service was great, our waitress was attentive. Plenty of seating, although we had an early dinner. Not sure about the weekend wait.

Umami has done it again. Everytime I have an Umami burger I try to figure out how they make their patties perfectly textured and dripping with flavor. I'm convinced they sous vide their burgers. Tried the Hatch Burger and all the ingredients blended beautifully in a soft but flavor packed bite. Definitely coming back!

Burger was great and they do have a side patio. Great people, pretty sure that the spot is famous for locals.

First timer here. My family and I were around the area and were craving some burgers. We were originally going to go to another restaurant, but it was closed so we ended up coming here. First off, the food is great but a bit expensive as to what you get. Burgers are $10+ which is normal for a restaurant BUT they don't even come with fries or any sides since that's extra (which I think is a bit crazy to say the least). Service was excellent and our burgers (I ordered the Royale burger) were cooked good but not perfect since mine was just a bit overcooked. Regardless, it still tasted great. I also ordered and shared a side of the maple bacon fries. Let me tell you this now. If you're a fan of bacon and sweet potato fries, you MUST order the maple bacon fries. Hands down the best fries I have ever tasted. Their Umami ketchup (it taste like regular ketchup just sweeter) was also great and I had it with my burger and fries (even though the fries didn't even need it since it tasted so great without it). Even though I'm giving this place 4 stars because basic sides such as fries are extra, I would have no problem coming back here again for another bite to eat. Great food, excellent service, and the best damn sweet potato fries I have ever tasted? I'd be a regular here if I lived around the area.

I went there with a friend for brunch. The food was amazing. All burgers come with truffle oil. Love the 4 sauces they bring on the side. For appetizer I recommend the onion rings. Also great beer selection and ambiance, with outdoor seating.

Evenings/nights for sure a nice restaurant, for lunch we found the music too loud. It was hard to talk to each other and even to the waiters. The food was delicious! We had different kind of burgers, even the vegetarian one was fancy as well as the variety of different kind of salads. They also serve sugar-free icetea, which was a nice change here in the USA. The prices are average - about 15 $ for a burger.

This place is definitely worth a visit! I've been meaning to eat at Umami since they opened their first location in New York - now that they've set up shop in Williamsburg I finally went. The ambience is pretty cool without being too Williamsburg-y hipster, I liked the bicycles that are suspended from the ceiling. Our waitress was insanely friendly and walked us through the extensive menu. The food was solid - high quality and rich flavor at a slightly higher price and with smaller portions than what I'm used to in Brooklyn. The three house-made sauces they have tasted amazing. I will definitely return to try one of the more exotic burgers. The only subpar dish we had were the truffle fries, which had only very faint truffle flavor - they reminded me more of the melted cheese curds you might find in poutine. Cool place overall, drop by before people take notice and it gets super busy!

Phenomenal burger place. I had the manly burger and split the maple bacon fries and onion rings with some friends. The burger tasted great and did not expend juice all over the place which would have Ruined it. The fries were great. Onion rings were just ok, but massive in size. Overall great food and very polite wait staff

This has become my new favorite place. Craving a burger my boyfriend and I decided to try here. It was amazeballs. The manly does not disappoint! If you like bacon and I mean juicy bacon JUNKS! Get it. The maple bacon fries was awesome as well. I had the throwback burger which was pretty good to. But! The highlight was our server Erica. She was really friendly with great energy. Thanks for making our visit great Erica. 😄
