Absolutely phenomenal food and service. The flavors and textures of each dish were full, clean, and unique. The NY strip steak was our highlight. The owner is very friendly, and we’ll be back!

Yup, 5 stars. If there's one item that summarizes it up, it's the focaccia. *Do not miss the focaccia*. It's the best one I've tasted. Came here for dinner (made a reservation) and we ordered: - cabbage salad (4.5/5) surprisingly refreshing and delicious, the green apples really brightened it up. - frascatelli (5/5) I think this was my favorite pasta. It was perfectly cooked and so cheesy and yummy. - gnocchi alla romana (3.5/5) objectively speaking this was good but the semolina was a bit heavy for me. - tonnarelli (4/5) plenty of delicious crab. The breadcrumbs were also a great touch of texture. - honey lemon dessert (5/5) this was the perfect lemon dessert! - chocolate! (4.5/5) there were chocolate chips embedded into the brownie it was delicious. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the cocktail I had (the spritz), I'd probably stick to wine next time. The ambiance is very nice for a date night or an intimate dinner with friends. The space is beautifully set up with an open kitchen. Very solid restaurant and I'd definitely come back.

Excellent experience. Loved the focaccia to start with the Caesar salad. I really enjoyed the tender rabbit on the spinach pasta. Excellent flavor. My wife loved her cauliflower brown butter pasta. Expertly crafted and served. Nice wine and cocktail list as well. I understand they probably lost a Michelin star for service, but I am not sure why they aren’t Bib Gourmand. This was a fantastic meal and I would definitely return.

Booked a last minute reservation for 2 last night, and it did not disappoint. This place had been on my list for a while, and we finally made it out. The food was really great and the vibes were awesome too. The space is a converted warehouse, so it is a bit noisy from everyone talking. The staff is fast and attentive and the dishes are creative.

Very lovely place with friendly service and stunning looking dishes. Unfortunately the taste just didn’t quite live up to my (high) expectations given everything else (that’s excellent) about this restaurant. I’d come back to try their other pasta dishes since the ones we’ve had weren’t very memorable.

Always an amazing place to eat at whether your solo, on a date, or in a group! Beef tartare, squid ink pasta, and bucatini are the go to for me. They offer half size portions of pasta which is incredible so you can try more dishes

Four stars simply bc it’s pricey. Very very small portions, albeit delicious and beautifully presented. Not 100% sold on value though. Interior is clean, spacious, not too loud.

This was our second time here and it was consistently amazing and delicious. The best small plates are the foie Gras and the shrimp. We got 4 pasta dishes to share among 4 of us. Our favorites were the squid ink pasta with lobster and the gnocchi with braised pork. I highly recommend this place. The only complaint i have is that the dessert menu is a bit lacking with only two choices.

This place is a hidden treasure in Brooklyn! The pastas were our of this world. So tasty! It is a great not-expensive option to surprise someone for a special occasion. I love that they let you bring your own bottle of wine for a reasonable corkage fee.

Christmas Eve dinner at Faro - very creative menu with 6 courses featuring different kinds of "fish". Well balanced menu with a very strong start. Fluke is delightfully sweet and the slight sourness from apple plus the creaminess from avocado made a good combo. Crab mixed well with cauliflower purée while squid ink vinaigrette added more savory. Fazzoletti was full of egg flavor, pairing with garlic sauce became a solid wholesome dish. However, the main courses are less impressive compared to the appetizers. The lobster, though very tender, didn't feel like a cohesive dish with the cannelini beans and the muscle did not add much on top, and the three different ingredients with 3 different temperature made the dish more far apart. The cod felt a bit overcooked, while the crispy outside was nice, the inside was not as tender and juicy as I expected from cod, and I didn't taste much of the sweetness from cod either. Turtle chocolate tart pulled the meal back a bit by its light and gooey caramel wrapped in dark chocolate and walnuts, topped with fluffy vanilla cream. Overall a good meal with some areas of improvement. Last note, Faro's pasta game is really strong, will definitely want to try more of their pasta dishes in the future.
