Quite possibly the best pizza place in the 5 boroughs, the most tender octopus, amazing pizzas and the chocolate marshmallow dessert is a must.....and the music just finished it off perfectly
Stopped in for a quick pie prior to leaving town. I loved it. I had the St Louie and would highly recommend it. Can’t wait to get back to the place again. Brooklyn!
White album pizza was delicious! Kale Apple salad is underrated too. Also had the Chocolate cake. Marshmallow was good on here. I think the cake would be better warmed imo but still solid
So, of course, I found them through insta, and the food looked amazing. Went there and was not disappointed. The service was great. We went at lunch so there was a different menu for dinner so there were some things we could not order. Otherwise, what we ordered was delicious. I'm definitely going back to check out the dinner menu!
Honestly very nice and crispy pizza, they had a very nice element to their pizza unlike most places in the area, really enjoyed how soft and delicious their mozzarella was. The atmosphere and interior at Speedy Romeo is very dark and romantic, would definitely go out with some friends or on a date here very romantic.
My only complaint really was that when i came to get the pizza it was colder than i expected so i asked for them to please warm it up, and one of their waiters told me they couldn’t so that. It wasn’t the biggest problem but I would’ve appreciated it
This pizza was almost perfect. I ordered it ahead of time, and it was a little cold when I arrived (I almost always order ahead, and other places have not had an issue with this). Nonetheless, I was still able to appreciate the brilliance with which this pizza was created. It was perhaps the best take on a Naples style pizza I’ve had this far, save for one flaw. The base margherita came with red pepper flakes, which made the pizza a bit hotter (in flavor, not temperature) than it needed to be. While the first bite was great, this added up over time and the last bite was too spicy. Nonetheless, this was the best crust on a Naples style pizza so far, and this pizza is one step away from perfect. Just order it without the red pepper flakes :)
I ordered the Margherita pizza and it did not disappoint. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!
The dough is pillowy soft with a nicely charred crust. With every bite delivering a delicious taste of Marzano tomatoes and creamy mozzarella. You will want to savor each and every bite before it is gone.
Speedy Romeo is a standout spot to visit and you will not leave disappointed
Enjoyed the meal! We had the king salami and the white album pizzas of which the salami was excellent but the white album felt more like a large grilled cheese sandwich/mozzarella stick, it was extremely cheesy and oily- a little too much for our taste. Very minor critique, on the whole was delicious. Will come back!
New favorite pizza spot in this neighborhood! First time we went there it was very busy on a Thursday night tho so expect a wait for the food when it’s busy. Went there a second time on a Wednesday, wasn’t very busy and got the food very quickly! All pizzas I tried have been good but favorites so far are White Album and Truffle Shuffle.
A wonderful dining experience. Arrived promptly for our reservation on a Monday night. Luckily, it was all day happy hour on Monday’s. Ordered four pies and the buratta and tomatoes which I highly recommend. The broccolini pizza is the best one on the menu, if the crust was crispier and the crust was not soggy towards the center of the pie, it would be perfect. The service can be difficult to reach if you sitting outdoors, but the wait staff are trying their best. They forgot about an order of ours, but it came out shortly after it was mentioned and they were kind enough to take it off the check which was a nice gesture. Overall, I plan to bring all my friends and family here.
Do yourself a favor and order 2 margarita pizzas with extra anchovies (1 to eat and 1 to take home), a Caesar salad, and a Lambrusco sparkling red. Sit outside, watch people pass by, and let your mind meld into the beatific, delicious simplicity.
Whenever I am in Brooklyn I have to stop at Speedy Romeos for some of their delicious pizza. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so chill! The staff is nice every time, they always have the best suggestions and they keep the place spotless! I get the Kind Brother Pizza($21). It is the best pizza I have ever had! I highly recommend you give it a try :) I’m sure you will love every pizza on their menu just as much as I do!
