After a two hour ferry ride, I was hungry and in need of fuel before exploring the rest of the neighborhood. It is a quick walk from the ferry and cruise terminal. The place was not very crowded given that it was a December weekend, but the restaurant had a welcoming ambiance with a homey Christmas tree. The service was attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the Connecticut. The lobster was fresh and well cooked while the roll was light but filling. The hibiscus lemonade was refreshing too.

Loved the 25 dollar lobsterfest special they had going on along with 5 dollar drinks and happy hour but if you don't catch any of the sales just be prepared to spend alpt of money because the place is pricey......but the food is very good.

This is the place to have lobster. Extremely fresh and tasty lobsters cooked to perfection. Started out with a dozen of Little Neck Clams on the half shell and cocktail shrimp, followed with several Lobster rolls. We would have ordered more if we could have. Everything was delicious. Nice drink and beer list. Good and fast service. Very recommended.

When I go to a Lobster shack I want freshness & quality. I accept its going to be expensive as long as it meets that criteria. Red Hook Lobster Pound does exactly that. It serves up fresh, juicy and flavoursome Lobster. Have it in sandwich form or Mac N Cheese form, it doesn’t matter. Some of the side dishes and other options are a little uninspiring so don’t steer away from the lobster. Solid spot if you’re after lobster, but if you’re looking for just a great restaurant then perhaps it’s not the place for you.

Don’t over complicate things. Come here & get a lobster roll. I am partial to the Connecticut style with butter, sans mayo. The fries are crispy & if it’s summer, get a froze or some other frozen drink. The rolls are getting quite expensive now, at well over $30 a piece but it doesn’t change how delicious they are. I’m sure the rest of the menu is tasty as well but it’s called red hook LOBSTER for a reason, get the lobster, you won’t be disappointed.

The food was pretty good. The service wasn't great. We went during the middle of the afternoon so at no time was there more that than three tables with customers but they took so long with my drink they just put it on the house.. I had to ask for a straw twice. Those are just two examples but it was the kind of situation where you have to keep looking up for staff and you just can't find any bc they don't come back to see if you need anything.

If you like seafood this is your place. You can take a boat from Wall Street to get here and enjoy the beautiful Manhattan skyline. Amazing options and they let you select your own lobster. Some of the best lobster rolls in New York and the service is excellent.

We got the BLT lobster rolls with a side of fries/chips because it had chipotle mayo and bacon in it and it was delicious! However, both my boyfriend and I didn’t really taste the spice in the mayo. I’m very sensitive to spice and have a low tolerance whereas he’s on the opposite end and I didn’t taste the chipotle at all. Still delicious though! It also comes with a pickle. There’s two single bathrooms, so you might run into a bit of a line. A thing to note was before we sat down, the table next to us moved themselves to our side of the table because of a drip from the ceiling. Otherwise, food was delicious and would come back again!

Been here a few times. Most recently for lunch where we got a bowl of New England Clam Chowder, fried pickles, steamers, and split a lobster rolls and fries. Chowder came immediately and was chock full of clams and potatoes and was velvety smooth. Fried pickles and the lobster roll were great, the fries were especially good. The steamers were kind of gritty and sad, which was disappointing. They came with butter to dip in but no water to clean so we were a little confused on the preparation. Someone also had a small lapdog in the restaurant while we were there, which I wouldn’t have minded, except they were yapping a lot but they finally l left. All in all, I like this place and continue returning for the lobster rolls, of which they prepare a few ways.

The restaurant is gorgeous, cozy, and rustic, the service courteous and polite and the pricey very moderate. I really enjoyed my lunch, the lobster roll was particularly good, warm and delicate, poached to perfection and the butter was not overpowering. The fish and chips was also very tasty, the fish must have been marinated for long because it was super flavorful. I tried one of their chowders too, which was real nice and the Brussels Sprouts were crunchy, lemony, and seasoned to perfection. I wasn't a fan of the crab dip, but overall, amazing restaurant in one of the most charming and underrated areas of Brooklyn.
