The food share was huge and we loved the taste and texture! Highly recommend Spicy Chicken Sandwich (not that spicy). Pancake was good too. The coffee tastes awesome and reminded me of the Denmark brunch coffee. This is a popular place. Would recommend making a reservation ahead. Will visit back in future.
This is the quintessential New York spot. A bit rough and ready in a chic way. All the food is absolutely exceptional. There’s a reason why it’s hard to get a table here on the weekends. It’s high quality and a fun place to meet up with friends. Cocktails are also great and they have seasonal warm drinks in the winter. Truly a cozy, cool, neighborhood staple.
Five Leaves in Brooklyn is a delightful brunch spot that I always visit on my trips to NYC, and I must say, their ricotta pancakes just out of this world! The moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the fluffy texture and the rich, creamy flavor of the pancakes. The combination of fresh ricotta cheese and just the right amount of sweetness made these pancakes an absolute treat.
The ambiance at Five Leaves is cozy and inviting, with a charming and trendy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Apart from the delectable pancakes, their menu offered a variety of mouthwatering options that catered to different preferences and dietary needs.
While the ricotta pancakes stole the show for me, the overall dining experience at Five Leaves was nothing short of fantastic. If you're a fan of brunch and crave a culinary adventure in Brooklyn, Five Leaves is a must-visit destination. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings!
Amazing place to go to for Brunch. It was a small cozy spot a few friends and myself enjoyed while on our New York trip. A friend and myself both enjoyed the Ricotta pancakes. My new favorite. While another friend got their avocado toast which she really enjoyed. Also another highlight was their truffle fries. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu as well. Overall a great brunch experience.
Tremendous for brunch (breakfast and lunch altogether). Especially recommended the stack of pancakes with ricotta and the bowl of cereals and red fruits. Attention, we went on a weekend and it was packed, we had to wait 40 minutes, but it was worth it!
The wait can be long but the food is good… have been here for brunch and dinner and there’s some solid stuff here. Also recommend the mussels dish with the coconut curry, dinner items are super hearty and filling. The pies are delicious as well.
After so many years I still like to come to Five Leaves. Small menu with big flavors that everyone will find something they like. The skirt steak is my favorite and I recommend the artichoke too. I would order a few things and share them. Bon appetite.
The Five Leaves burger is a tasteful combination of flavors – from the egg to the pineapple and the beet, everything was spot on. The only thing that could have made it even more would be if my burger had been cooked medium-rare, but it leaned more towards well-done.
Now, when it comes to sides, you can choose between a salad or fries. I went with the salad, and it tasted both healthy and delicious. The B.L.A.T. wasn’t bad either, but the bacon was just a big too hard.
However, there's a hiccup in this otherwise great experience – the service. Despite the number of staff members, flagging someone down for assistance always proved to be quite a challenge.
Inside seating is limited and quite packed, but fortunately, there's a spacious outdoor seating area to save the day.
The food tastes & looks good.. but everything is a bit overchargey. Tables are packed in tight. You get your money's worth here by people watching.
This is a place you take someone from out of town. Order the Ricotta Pancakes.
Look here, hungry for a great Breakfast, but don't want to feel overly guilty..but a little guilty is fine? This is your spot.
Trust me when I say, the pancakes are fluffy clouds of Brooklyn glory..they are as good as they look. Their other dishes..also as good as they look.
This spot is worth up to a 45 minute wait..but don't be a Jet's fan waiting fat too long for something..
To my experience, it's the best brunch spot in the area.
Atmosphere + Service:
[Think Brunchy Metro Vibes]
They've maximized their seating space and it keeps things lively, tight and loud on the weekend.
Great service and lots of servers sharing tables to keep service timely (*unlike the metro..).
