What a wonderful little spot. I’ve passed Tom’s almost every day for the last five years and never gone in. The place greets you with such a warmth, it’s the kind of thing that no matter how hard a new restaurant tries to create, it can only be given by a place that’s been around as long as this.
The food was excellent and came out diner-fast. Scrambled eggs with perfect firmness, nicely spiced and not overcooked home fries, and one of the most interesting turkey sausages I’ve ever eaten (in a good way)!
I should note - I’m a bigger guy, and the booths are extremely tight. They’re old, I’m big, it’s really no one’s fault but my own, but if that’s something you’re concerned about it’s good to know going in.

Weird the line is not as long as it used to be. It was about Saturday around 11am and the wait is 20 minutes for a table of four.
Food is delicious as usual. I had the Mexican omelette and definitely get the fries. They have the best fries in America to be honest. We got pancake, egg Benedict and something else. Coffee is like a good old diner coffee in the familiar cup.
Service can’t be better. The waiter is full of energy and love the smile. We got our order fast and correct. He gave us extra sauce and refill on coffee.
It’s very tight spot and I would just have one person wait inside until the table is ready.

Nice local breakfast place. Great service.
Cheese omelette was fine. Choco chip pancakes are great.

Ate here after a afternoon of filming with some friends. Nice home style food. Had the cheesesteak wrap which was delicious and also a grilled cheese with bacon as an appetizer. Service was attentive. Place is CASH only so be wary. I’d eat here again

Be prepared for quite the line during brunch, and a cash-only situation at payment. Besides those surprises, Tom’s is actually a classic diner with all the fixins. Cinnamon roll pancakes were good but a lot of the flavor comes from sweeteners and flavored butters - the pancakes themselves don’t hold together well but are tasty. I actually thought the crab cakes were my favorite on the menu.

Listen, I know I've only been in New York for a couple months now, but I seriously doubt I'm going to find a better breakfast/lunch spot in Brooklyn for the price you pay here. I strongly recommend the 2x2x2. And if you get something else, just make sure you try their bacon or their pork sausage. Quite possibly the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere gets 3 stars because it is a very small restaurant, so it's kind of a tight fit no matter where you go. (They do have seating outside the restaurant as well that I have not tried just because of the weather so that could have a little more room to it than inside the restaurant.) Regardless though, the food and the staff are fantastic and I cannot stress how much I love this place. And if you bring kids with you, be sure to treat them to the hot chocolate.

Whilst wandering Brooklyn streets we saw a huge line for this place on a Saturday but weren’t sure why. After looking it up we decided to give it a go.
It was a rainy Monday so no queue. We shared a plate of Danish pancakes (lemon, ricotta, Parmesan(!), blueberry) with a side of crispy bacon and strawberries. You get three huge pancakes and they come with accompanying maple syrup and some flavoured butters (plain whipped, and what I think were strawberry, cinnamon and orange). The pancakes were so light and fluffy and I really enjoyed the butters. The portion is very large so it fed two people comfortably.
We also ordered tea which came in an enjoyably huge mug.
Service was quick and friendly. They bring you iced water on arrival. The place has a cosy atmosphere with vintage eclectic decor.
Cash only but there is an ATM inside.

Love love this historic diner with so many waffle and pancake options. They come with multiple cream cheese flavors and a syrup. Split a savory entree with a family member/friends sweet option.
Home fries are homemade. Omelettes are shareable size if you can't decide.
Really great diner coffee in cute mismatched mugs with continual refills.
Be prepared for a line but very attentive staff for seating and friendly service.
This place is busy on a rainy weekend.
After 1 pm was a great time to arrive
I want this in MY neighborhood.
Prices are exceptional - and not overpriced.

Cute breakfast diner with speedy service but try to avoid sitting near the line. Several ppl leaned on the railing pushing my table. Breakfast was good but I wasn’t impressed with the bacon..tad bit to crispy for me.

Delicious place for a traditional American breakfast!! I had Florentin eggs and harvest pancakes (sweet corn and cranberry)! They have cinnamon butter and strawberry butter to eat with the pancakes! The service is really fast! They just accept cash!
