Parlour.

I really wanted to like Parlour. I heard it was owned/run by some of the same people from Regal Beagle so was hopeful it was going to be somewhat similar to when the Regal Beagle was good. All that had to happen was ok execution I was really disappointed, had the steak frites, the steak was nearly pucker worthy due to crazy sodium. Both mine, and my wife's steak was that way. The meat quality was good and they got the medium rare right but stop with the salt already! Customers can always add salt. On the price, the bang for buck wasn't there for me. That's subjective though. It's early still for them. Restaurants can take a bit to get in their groove. Maybe I'll try again. Give them a try if you want, maybe I just had some bad luck.

This place was amazing! So happy to have a solid place to eat again in Coolidge corner. The owners Meghan Murphy and Luke Hayden did an incredible job giving the space a bright makeover. The drinks were playful and inventive with about 8 classic cocktails and 8 of their own creations. Chef Stacy Cogswell is back in the space doing what she does best. Local ingredients and creative plates. Was told they ran a limited menu for their opening weekend but specials and expanded menu soon to come. My fiancé and I tried several of the appetizers including the grilled octopus seen below. We tried all of the entree in our party and all were amazing. The carrot vegetarian option was very different and creative. All in all the vibe was great, good music and will definitely be back.

This was a cool neighborhood spot, very cosy and warm interior. Fun shareable plates and very friendly service, we had reservations at another spot but came here when we walked past, it looked great. They've been open about 6 months and have great cocktails! Fun place to have some drinks and snacks before catcbing a movie at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. The gnocchi was the best thing we had.
