Mott Haven Bagel & Barista Cafe

If you enjoy bagels and cream cheese, I would definitely give this place a try. I enjoyed their locs smear with lettuce, tomato and extra locs, and a good small black coffee to wash it down. Coffee was decent, the bagel was fairly priced. It seems to be a popular spot. Regulars and newbies consistently popping in and out. The customer service was good, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back and try more options!

I love the chewy feel of the bagel. The coffee is so great and I've never met a manager with such an amazing sense of humor; he's always cheerful with all smiles chatting you up to make sure you enjoy every bit of your experience. I'll ask for his name in my next visit. The other associates are also very polite and courteous. This place is pretty close to the road and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic. Nice and affordable place in the South Bronx. I love coming here! The girls at the counter are kind. Recently, I ordered a muffin from the display, and they warmed it up for me. It was delicious! I love that there are also soups. Although I haven’t tried any yet, my coworkers had been getting their soups there. The prices are nice for the size. Can’t speak for the flavor though. There is also a nice selection of drinks including coffee. The ambience is okay and although the space isn’t too large the placement of the seating makes it feel spacious.

5 stars for the service and bagel selection, and a special shout out to the Barista Danny! They were very attentive and communicative relating to my orders. Yup, there were multiple orders. And getchu a Philly on an Everything. Thank me later. And no it’s not pictured because it was devoured with the quickness. Well at least half of it was because that mofo was big. #leftovers Prices are mostly reasonable, certainly for regular stuff like a baconeggandcheese. Specialty bagels will set you back a bit, pero it’s “special” so it’s acceptable. The ambiance was generic and almost “cold”, but the folks behind the counter were dope, so that warmed it up. And the menu has an “analysis paralysis” amount of options for food and a handful for coffee, but I can imagine folks will quickly find their respective favorites, return time and time again, and folks behind the counter will be calling them by name.
