Amazing Food. Good portions. Decent price. 3 course meal for 2 with cocktails ended up costing approximately $150 excluding tip. Would highly recommend for a night out in the underrated “Little Italy” of the Bronx neighborhood.
Once again our original plan was closed on Monday and we end up at Emilia where my wife didn't want to go. We end up ordering meatballs, Chicken Parmigiano and Lasagna. The meatballs were dry and have raisins inside which we didn't like. The service was okay but we decided to sit in the beautiful patio. I had to go get our server and end up being cater to by 3 😅. My wife loved the lasagna so much that she try to convinced me I have an allergy reaction to it 🫠. We loved the grape tree behind us with the waterfall feature.
Very good food. Went with friends are a visit to the Bronx Zoo. Right in the heart of Arthur Ave. Very good service. Appetizers, entree and dessert all fresh and tasty. Espresso good too! Recommend it.
Relaxed place with good food. I had the bolognese and enjoyed it. I also liked the arancini appetizer; calamari was a little on the tough side. Service was good and the prices are excellent. Wine list has good selection of very affordable bottles.
I love this place. Best restaurant on Arthur Ave. the staff is so kind and the atmosphere beautiful. Last time we went they had singers who sang a few songs. Stuff artichoke is my very favorite. Great place to go for a special occasion or dinner. The food is great quality, the lasagna and bolognese masterpieces. I could go on. So good.
Quintessential Italian eatery on Arthur Avenue!!! Highly recommend Nonna’s Meatballs to start, which were tender and flavorful, especially the sauce. The gnocchi in vodka sauce was fantastic!!!
Visiting NY for the 1st time, it was recommended that a visit to Arthur Ave was a must. There are several restaurants to choose from. We picked Emilias due to previous reviews and what looked to be authentic. It was a Wednesday night, so not busy at all. Service was very good, offering wine samples to see what we liked. Starting with large slices of fresh bread with oil and cheese. Calamari was delicious, martini was strong, main entrees were very good & plentiful. Tiramisu was good, but I was expecting more from an authentic Italian restaurant. Overall, we'd recommend it and visit again.
One of the best restaurants on Arthur Avenue. It is a small but very welcoming family run restaurant. The service is what you would expect, friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and can easily be shared. You should also make room for the excellent desserts.
the real little italy, and i’m italian. The food was very good , the bread in particular !! I felt like home .
The manager is a gentleman. Highly recommended!!!
We made a reservation at Emilia's on Arthur Ave in the Little Italy neighborhood of the Bronx, NY for Sat Dec 9, 2023 at 2pm. This was our first time here. We arrived at 1:35 and were going to wait at the bar for our table. Well there was no bar and the host seated us immediately without regard to our reservation. OK, that worked for us. We had been seated and were greeted by our waiter, George. We asked a few questions about the wine choices and made our selections ($12/glass). Warm, crusty Italian bread was brought to the table with small plates for the dipping olive oil.
Now the restaurant was filling up quickly. But service wasn't affected. Our shared appetizer was the sauteed & cheese stuffed zucchini flowers ($14) and it was perfect. Our meals arrived just after George;s brought our second glasses of wine. Perfect timing again. My bride had the lunch special Spinach Fettucini con Cavolfiore -Spinach Fettucini with Roasted Cauliflower & Crisp Pancetta ($22). Excellent balance of flavors & textures in this dish. She took half home as she opted for a second piece of the bread. I had the other lunch special Cavatelli Sposato-Cavatelli Married with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage
Sautéed with a Touch of Small Italian Red Peppers ($23). A truly wonderful dish with a sprinkle of grated cheese & crushed red pepper.
Repeated offers of dolce (dessert) had to be declined (cannoli & biscotti were in our future).
There is also an outdoor patio/dining area out back. Emilia's is open from 12pm Wed-Mon, closed Tue.
Emilia's is the quintessential Little Italy restaurant. Great food & wine with impeccable service.
Mille Grazie to George and all the staff at Emilia's. Hope to see you again next year.
