Empire Bagels

These are the best bagels and the best muffins in the Bronx by far. Zero competition. The staff is awesome and the line moves fast. You will not be disappointed. I see some people leaving negative reviews that they don't make egg sandwiches etc but they make them next door at the deli with empire's bagels.

Best bagels in the Bronx NY . These bagels are the freshest I’ve had in a long time . They are always busy but the lines go fast and the workers are always pleasant and work fast and efficiently. The bagels are soft and moist and just pure joy to eat. Only one downside is that they don’t make bacon egg and cheese sandwiches or anything that involves cooking . However the cream cheese selections are a good alternative. I would recommend this bagel spot. The 4 stars is solely because they don’t make breakfast sandwiches.

I’ve lived in the Bronx for 10 years + and been wanting to try this place forever, but never found myself in the area before 12 pm…until last week. It is essentially a walk-up window. I got there around 11am and there was no line. (Usually there is a line there earlier in the morning, especially during the weekend) They are open 7 days/week from 5 am - 12 pm. I got a variety of bagels and some jalapeno cream cheese. Everything was really good…definitely the best in the Bronx and some of the best bagels I’ve had in NYC period. Very reasonably priced at $1.25 each/$13 per dozen. They also have muffins, mini bagels, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The staff there were helpful and efficient.
