I ask for a Tamal de mole and a taco al pastor 🌮 the thaco was super tasty the tamal not so much :( but it's super weir to find a place with really good tamales specially here in USA, so it was okay. My boyfriend, who is vegetarian, asked for a vegetarian burrito 🌯 and he loved it. The service was a little slow, but it's okay. I think we are going to go back again soon! :)
The food is great, there's an option for everybody. i judge places by how the horchata tastes, and this place makes good horchata. I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food, but they have good tamales, all the taco options are great, and the drinks are strong. the menu is huge so definitely ask the waitress for recommendations or look through the menu beforehand.
All food is delicious! Highly recommended! Tacos de Birria! So yummy! Delicious coffe. Very nice customer service!
Been craving authentic Mexican food coming from a place where its non existent. This was definitely authentic! Luckily, we went there on a Tuesday and it was Taco Tuesday!!! 5 tacos for $10. My friends got quesadillas. I got to try some of theirs and they were good too. Service was really great. Highly recommend, especially on Tuesdays (or saturdays, I think they have Margaritas for their Saturday promo).
Awesome staff and food
They take credit cards
This restaurant has good Mexican food. Close to Fordham Campus, it is popular with college kids and visiting families. Locals come too but pretty much its college restaurant
My favorite place to eat in the Bronx! They have lots of options, great chips and salsa, their vegetarian options are plentiful and the cocktails are great too. I have never had a bad experience with them - takeout or dine in
I had two tostadas. Very generous portions of protein on both for only average prices. They could've used a bit more intense herbal flavors such as oregano, epazote, etc., or marinades, but they were very good. Def going back.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Bronx. The menu is amazing the service is fantastic. The waiters are so nice and very attentive. It really feels like you are sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Mexico. Their sauces are so good as well.
As a Central American, this is one of my two local authentic places for Mexican food. NYC does not have many Mex places, most are TexMex or terrible food pretending to be Mex (e.g. Taco Bell). This restaurant is one of the city's few gems where you can find actual Mexican cuisine with quality high enough to satisfy Latinos. Now not everything on the menu is authentic, since they're located a few blocks away from Fordham University they cater to a lot of gringos, so their guacamole lacks salt and Lemon juice. But if you have these ingredients at home you can always "fix" it yourself. But at least the chips and the main dishes are very good and that's why I keep coming back. PLUS, one of the only locations that serves some good Huevos Rancheros. If you are a fan of Breaking Bad and never had HR yet then what are you waiting for?! Find out what the hype is for yourself! Lol I call that dish my breakfast of champions. Last note, the Sour Cream they use is NOT good, smh. My family and I always avoid it. Their sauces are good though, highly recommend. Solid 4.2 to 4.3, but since they're still one of best locations in NYC for Mex food, I gave them a 5.
