I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I will be back for hibachi in the next few months so this review might change for the better.
What I liked:
1. Very professional phone service.
2. Extremely clean and very spacious.
3. Very pretty looking sushi and sashimi, well presented.
What I didn't like:
1. Portion size is on the smaller side.
2. Some sashimi had a not so fresh smell.
My wife and I are sushi nerds. We make our own sushi quite often and have been to dozens of sushi restaurants in NJ and NYC. This sushi place was a solid 4 out of 5 based on our previous experiences. I wouldn't call this place cheap. I have seen much cheaper sushi in NJ but as we know quality suffers when sushi gets cheap.
All the sushi we ordered was fresh except for a few sashimi slices. One particular piece of sashimi we got definitely should not have been put out for consumption so I took a star off. However, salmon sashimi was top notch.
Looking forward towards visiting this place for hibachi with our family.
Get a reservation if you're coming here on a Sunday, place gets busy!

First time ordering from Sushi House. Order was timely and well prepared.
Menu variety was expansive but I found the quality of the fish to be average. The specialty roll that I tried was well made with a tasty combination of flavors but on the other hand the sashimi was average.
For the price this place isn’t bad but you won’t be blown away either.

Never would I have thought to stop in here for sushi. I have past it 1,000 times and I must say shame on me. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was fantastic! My friends and I have agreed that this is our new monthly dinner date place! Cant wait to go back!

Odd location but well worth it. Friendly staff. Nice decor. Good food. Hibachi meal prepared by fun chef. Large portions. Will definitely return. A little pricey but our dinner included soup, salad, appy, entree and dessert. A fun time for a small group.

Stopped at this place after it being recommend by a fellow patron at Macy's. She mentioned that she knew the owners and how great the food was. She was absolutely spot on! Sushi was fresh and delicious, and the spicy rolls have the perfect amount of kick. Was really delicious. Also, it seemed like a lot of the customers we're greated by name and they had a great rapport. It made me feel like we stumbled on a place that was really beloved by the community. I would absolutely come again.

Food was great, but on top of that we had an amazing waitress. Not only did she surprise me with paying attention to our bickering of orders we might want, she also learned our names on her own, without us even telling her. She addressed us by name and overall made the experience complete. We came at 9pm and didn't leave till 10:30, but not once did we feel rushed or judged during our dinner. 10/10 would come again, and recommend for those who enjoy sushi, and excellent customer service!

The hibachi was fantastic! We've been to several of these in the surrounding area and the chef here was exceptional! Not so much in thur food prep which was basic, but in terms of personality, very engaging and entertaining! Pricing was fairly typical for hibachi.

Our favorite sushi restaurant. The owners, Sue and Wayne, are warm, accommodating hosts who make us feel like part of the family. The wait staff is attentive and by now knows my wife's and my dining idiosyncrasies. The food is excellent. We have our assortment of favorite rolls--Autumn Roll (for salmon lovers) and Super Eel Roll. Highly recommend.
