Pig Daddy's Bbq

I sit here still starving after having spent almost $40 on the 2 plates of food you see below. The food arrived to my home 10 minutes prior to the estimated delivery time so I was happy about that. I get the food out of the bag and see penne pasta in the mac and cheese. I figured they just used a different pasta and figured that's okay, some people do. "MAC AND CHEESE"- I open the container and the most foul, sour smelling aroma fills my entire living room. I taste the "mac and cheese" and it tastes like they mixed expired sour cream, chalk powder, and orange food coloring together with overcooked mushy penne. It's was chalky and just horrible. It doesn't even resemble mac and cheese. They shouldn't be allowed to call it that. I paid $5 for a container of this horrible concoction. "COLLARD GREENS" These tasted like they put chopped up collards in a pot of water and boiled them. That's it. No salt. No pepper. No garlic. No smoked meat. No flavor whatsoever. Just bitter chopped collard greens in water. I paid $2.75 for this monstrosity. "CATFISH PLATTER" As you can see in the pic there is 1 measley peice of half-fried fish. I say half-fried because instead of being crispy and flavorful it was completely soggy and flavorless. The hushpuppies were completely raw in the middle. One had cracked open and oozed raw hushpuppy batter onto the already soggy fish. You can see how raw they are in the picture. As if that wasn't bad enough this platter comes with an unchangeable side of that horrendous "mac and cheese". I paid $11 for this disaster. "3 RIB AND 5 WING PLATTER" This came with the self described 3 ribs and 5 wings and we chose candied yams and fried apples as sides. As you can see in the picture they sent a dipping cup with 3.5 slices of fried apple. Why they couldn't just put a scoop on the tray like they did with the candied yams is beyond me. The 3.5 slices of fried apple were the first edible items in my whole order. They were edible. Probably because they were from a can but yeah. Candied yams were definitely from a can with some cinnamon and sugar thrown in. Again, edible. But the bar for that so far is pretty low. The ribs and chicken wings my kids were able to eat. They weren't good but they were hungry so they ate them. I think I paid about $13 for this disappointment. Obviously I will never ever order from this place again. Just wanted to make sure I put up my review so someone else doesn't waste time waiting on this....dare I say it...."food" to arrive to their home like we did. Thankfully I got a refund for my entire order since I ordered through grub hub.

Their pulled port sandwich could/should compete in the Texas World BBQ. I had it it’s the tangy spicy vinegar sauce (she called it vinegar mustard but I didn’t taste too much mustard, which is a good thing to me), and some pickles cause I’m trashy like that, and I swear it was just like something I could get back home in Houston. HIGHLY recommend. Staff were friendly towny local, no nonsense types, all wished me a good evening so politely. Order was ready in 10 minutes. pub atmosphere reminded me of my first job. Hard to tell I was in the right place cause the sign doesn’t say pig daddy’s but the address is right and when they saw me looking they invited me right in.
