The Candy Jar

From out of town and excited to check out the store with my grandkids. They were out of lots of candies and the chocolate section was pretty bare. Still spent around $70 between my self and my daughter. The chocolates are terrible, very stale and almost unedible. Very disappointed. Only reason I give it 2 stars is because my young grandkids still had fun picking out their candies.

There is a great selection of candy in this store. My roommates and I have been in the store previously and were nothing but impressed with the selection of candy and a very attentive employee. We though this would be a great stop after some birthday sushi. However, tonight has been dubbed "a Birthday Disappointment". We walked into your store right before 7pm on the night of 10/28. Upon arrival we were not greeted by the employee working and we were ignored for nearly 10 minutes as we waited SITTING at the bar. We were only acknowledged when we walked over and told her we were ready to order. We ordered our two milkshakes: a Candy Jar and a Cookie Cliff. We proceeded to sit at the bar for over 20 minutes before we were served. We waited 20 minutes before being served the two drinks that were slowly made in front of us. Rather than conversing with us at the bar, we were left to silently gaze at the empty containers that were being scraped for our shakes. When we were given our drinks, our drinks tasted stale and were completely melted, with the outside decorations sliding down the cup. A fellow customer sat next to us at the bar and waited to be served, without acknowledgement. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We then stood by the register for another 10 minutes without the employee even recognizing that we were ready to go. After such a long wait for our shakes we were already late for an event after and had chosen to ignore the fact of the untimeliness, until we once again had to ask for her assistance. We are disappointed and sad that this experience happened...even the shake we were served was served with a sad face rather than the smile depicted on the menu.

This amazing, nostalgic store is truly the only fully stocked candy and sweets store in Bozeman. From old fashioned favorites to all the newest treats and sweets, they seem to offer Bozeman a one stop shop to flnd your favorites and experience the joy that an old fashioned candy store sparks for both young and old. A well organized, bright, and fun environment.gives sweet tooth’s of every age a smile! This locally owned business gets 4.5 stars 🍭 it’s great to see such a unique store survive the pandemic and still offer such a great, much needed, locally owned store!

Maybe keep the hours on your phone message and online if you want to stay in business. 3 days in a row dark and closed no sign or anything. Talked to someone on the phone saying they were going to close early yesterday (before anyone gets off of work) and that they would be open today. Guess not. This town is too busy to waste a lunch break driving across town for nothing.

If I could rate Higher, I WOULD. The atmosphere in this place is so lovely and peaceful. They have old school candy & even new candies I have yet to try! Not to mention the over the top milkshakes they are to DIE FOR. The manager girl “Emily” is too darn sweet! Very professional & so bubbly and kind! I’m always there in the morning so she’s the only employee I’ve seen so I can’t speak on the other employees but GREAT SERVICE, GREAT CANDY, GREAT PLACE. GREAT MILKSHAKES. & SO PROFESSIONAL.
