This small diner has the BEST potato soup I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s very easy to smash it in just two bites. Might just be me 😋 I’ve had their corn cakes, BBQ, chicken fingers, salad and it’s all very tasty.

Excellent food with excellent service. I dropped in about 10:45 a.m. about 15 minutes prior to lunch service. However my kind waitress of who’s name I forgot to get was pleasant and accommodating allowing me to order lunch.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the customers are friendly. I decided to stop in because I’ve had club sandwich to go before and wanted to try dine in.
5 star service with my highest recommendation.

Small quaint Cafe but the food was amazing!! Three people in our party and we all had the small cheeseburger with onion rings, potato wedges and French fries as sides. They were all delicious! So fresh & hot. The burgers tasted like homemade. 😋

Wow what a helluva response from the owners daughter.
• You NEVER respond to customers like that in a public forum. The world already sees that a customer is unhappy the last thing you want are those potential customers to see you being defensive and unprofessional.
Respond to every single review whether you have the time for it or not. Thank them for a great review and if it’s not great then you ask them to send you more info to a direct email so the entire world doesn’t see your response. In this case, you’re response was seriously unprofessional.
• I am not a Karen or a Kyle, my name is Kody. When you have your own business you will learn it’s probably in your best interest to call your customer by their name not a derogatory term.
• I’m sorry that you don’t want to hear it, but the sandwich was not good. Maybe should dial your menu back on the things that are not best sellers and focus on the most popular items and higher quality ingredients. Doesn't have to be Michelin restaurant quality, but put a little more effort into your food and ingredients.
For the record, I don’t want a refund, or a free meal. I’d just like to your food quality to be better. It’s a cool looking building with a lot of missed potential.
Disappointing at best. Prior to going to lunch I had researched best diners in BG and this popped up with great reviews. I was pretty excited to give it a whirl as I do enjoy old fashioned diners. I feel like this place has a lot of missed opportunities. For one the golfing decor and 80s thrift store paintings were odd on the plain white walls. Secondly whoever painted the exterior in grey and black also did a huge disservice to the classic midcentury diner architecture. Ok about the food. Maybe it was my fault ordering a non diner norm but they had a prime rib sandwich and I couldn’t help myself. My husband got the steak sandwich. They arrived plated with a generous portion of fries. The meat was plain and stuck between cheap, narrow, hot dog buns. Not a hoagie roll. Hell they didn’t even jazz it up with with garlic butter. Nope just meat stuck in between cheap generic, dollar store hot dog buns. The steak came with a large leaf of cheap iceberg lettuce. The meat was chewy too. Look I’m not trying to be nit picky here but I feel like this place might be under new ownership? Or something changed or maybe they should only offer the basics and not venture out into steak sandwiches? Not sure. People seemed to be enjoying their meals but at the end of the day you can judge a place by it’s ranch and that was also terrible. If it comes under different ownership and they bring it back to its original glory with bright fresh colors, an inviting cool retro interior and different menu then I’ll come back. But between the poor food quality and depressing esthetics it’s gonna be a no for me. Also! Final note please pick up your insect traps in the bathroom. Good god the last thing I want to see are a cluster of dead giant spiders by the toilet near the opening in the wall. Really makes me afraid of what’s crawling in the kitchen.

We were passing through on I-65 and my wife, looking for a local restaurant, found the Lunch Box Cafe. We stopped here on a whim and we're pleasantly surprised! Great food and friendly service. 🥰 The next time we pass through Bowling Green, KY, we will stop back in for some delicious food.

The service was wonderful and the food was very good. Service was right on point he constantly kept my drink full and not many places do that any longer. I think most places through pre bussing out the window not quite sure why, but he did a great job with that as well. The croissants with honey on them just melted in my mouth and the fried pickles were awesome. Highly recommend this place and will revisit again.

Food was pretty plain. I ordered a salad. Iceberg lettuce, carrot, and tomato with a croissant. My friend ordered a club sandwich that was poorly built and difficult to eat with a slice of tomato and onion that were 1/2 inch thick.
