Taste Of Philly

Out of all of the places to get lunch in Boulder, this has to be the one we order the most. For a time we were ordering 2 or 3 times a week and everytime the food arrived when it was supposed to and was fantastic. The meat is always full of flavor and juicy, and the large combination of cheese and toppings make this such an easy place for a Philly. Out of the 40+ times we have ordered for 3+ people during lunch for work only twice has our order been wrong in some way and both times it was very minor (leaving off a topping). The other great thing about this place is that their non Philly's are also pretty great. I've tried different sandwiches, the fish and chips, and chicken tenders and it is all great. In even writing this and looking over the pictures to post, I want to get one. As far as the service goes we had a hiccup once when Lodel took over for the delivery services and I called the place directly and they quickly took care of the problem and had our food delivered and vowed to take it up with Lodel to resolve the issues and directed us to use their website directly in the future not only because it was cheaper, but far more reliable. Ever since then, no more issues.

I believe this young manger who claims to be there for years sucks at customer service. I go here in person regularly, decent Steak sandwiches. I order for delivery 2 x and both times a nightmare both time the steak roll was soaked. I called and this kid says would would you like me to do really??? I go in person and mention it's a shame I cant depend on delivery to deliver a decent sandwich and hot onion rings when I live 4 blocks from this place. Nothing like Philly. I would love to find the owner of this place and have a chat with him. There has been several times when the music is so loud you don't even want to sit and try to relax. I had to give 1 star or you couldn't post.

I grew up outside of Philly and nobody I've ever tried can replicate those cheesesteaks. Until now. These folks really have it down. Friendly people and good prices. About the only complaint I have is that the parking lot gets crowded around lunchtime... but that's actually a GOOD thing in a lot of ways.

The chicken sandwich was amazing. Great flavor, nice moist chicken, perfect spices, then the juices soaked into the bread which made it soooo good - try it without cheese, you really don't need the cheese. The place is a little beat up and kind of warm but then so am I, so all good. Get in here and eat a real samich!
