Proto's Pizza

4-28-2022 a very busy Thursday evening at Proto’s. I read a bunch of negatives reviews about this place. Those reviewers could not be telling the truth. My wife and I had one of the tastiest pizzas of our lives‼️‼️ We ordered the medium sausage, onion and green pepper pizza. Wow, that crust was out of this world. Plenty of all three toppings. Jennifer our barmaid treated us like she knew who we were. The drinks she mixed, excellent. From my mind I will tell you to ignore the low star reviews and enjoy a great pizza at a great place.

We truly enjoyed our dine-in experience here tonight. Our server, Megan was helpful and friendly. Her honest recommendations were spot on. We started with a Cease salad and a tomato and mozzarella as appetizers, followed by the Pontiff Pie with added prosciutto. The craft of making thin crust pizza that is tasty and holds shape is an art. This is an artfully special restaurant that deliver on style and taste. I highly recommend it. Besides, being able watch the "pies" being made fresh is also fun!

The lunch special is good. Caesar salad was great. Could have a bit more taste and not so skimpy on the toppings. The ambience is nice and I might return. The major problem with this place is that it sneaks an " employee benefits" charge into your ticket. I support giving generous tips for good service NOT socialist mandates. I want to keep giving this place a try and hope the owners will fix that issue. Because of the owner using this tactic, what would be at least a 50% tip turned into a $15% tip, impacting what the server could have made had we been trusted to be fair.

$36 for a pellegrino, a barely cooked medium pizza, and a trashbin full of mushrooms that I didn’t order (but still paid for).. What a rip off. Pizza isn’t even good. Edited to add- loved the girl scratching her head, touching her face, and not wearing a mask while touching people’s food and putting basil on pizzas.
