Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had. The turkey burgers were also outstanding and the brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked.
The owner Johnny is a super nice guy and extremely knowledgeable, clear to see this is not his first rodeo.

Delicious food and super friendly staff. Everything is well prepared and tastes great. I honestly have never had anything I didn't like from there...which is kinda crazy because I get Johnny's frequently. Easy to heat up at home for the family or pop in during the day for some lunch. Anytime I am in the area I go to Johnny's. I've even grabbed food for my entire office of 12 people. Every loves it!
My wife and I have been picking up meals here for more than a year. The food is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the options change. The prepared food offerings have become our weekly pick-up, a quick heat in the oven and its like you’re sitting down for a meal at a restaurant……Clean, fresh, well-thought-out, and delicious!
I have tried their fried chicken side order, fried chicken sandwich, Korean fried chicken sandwich, and mac and cheese. All were delicious.
Also recently had the chicken salad sandwich. Overall it was good, but the Dijon mustard flavor was too strong. My parents took a few bites and weren't able to finish it.
Eitherway, looking forward to try some of their other dishes.
My wife and I (previous review) just had our first Johnny's takeaway experience and it was really amazing. We are typically too busy/tired to cook for ourselves so we end up ordering delivery. The salmon we had tonight was healthy, fresh, and delicious. We will be making this a staple in our lives.
Johnny’s takeaway salads are delicious. Their chili, corn bread, marinara, etc, etc. finger-licking good! The staff is friendly and the food is always ready when your place an online order.
As a side note their generous contributions to those in need in the community, deserve a shout out!
Johnny’s Takeaway is SO good & their business model, healthy food choices & customer service is simply the BEST, bar none. I will definitely be buying all my meals from them. So many great choices, so easy to reheat & excellent portions. YUM! Highly recommend!
This new restaurant will be an extremely important part of West Roxbury. This new food prep wave I think is fitting a niche that needs to filled.
The extra time I save by not going shopping and preparing food as I barely have time to anyway allows me to spend more time with my loved one.
The food is extremely well priced and is Leaps and Bounds away from anything in the local area at $15. I would much rather have fresh prepared foods than having a crappy sub across the street or down the street!
I had Atlantic cod with lentils yesterday and it was fantastic. I will definitely be coming here in the future for a quick and healthy prepared meal in this busy thing we call life!
They catered for the summer opening class of Mama Beasts in West Roxbury and their super healthy bean salad was so delicious that I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since! It was the perfect post workout meal. I will definite be checking this place out to buy some delicious dinners for my family.
We've been ordering takeout on a regular basis for the past year. Their chicken is the best around. We've also had pulled pork and other meals. Always fresh and delicious.
Love Johnny's for a quick and delicious meal for my family that we don't feel guilty about eating. Super friendly staff that provide a great variety of options throughout the week.
