New move in to Dorchester. As a Chinese, the foods actually amazed me. The new management is awesome, they friendly and very patient. 100% recommend, it becomes one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants.
Ordering for 10 people party, the foods come out very fast and the quality is super awesome!! The foods are big enough and the price is really nice!!

Favorite to-go Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood, fantastic food and good portions for a reasonable price, owners are very kind and accomodating. Food is ready quickly, usually 10-15 minutes, sometimes a bit longer if we order extra dishes, but about the amount of time it takes us to walk there. Have never eaten in the restaurant, but have never been disappointed in taking home, everything is still fresh and warm. Love it!
Egg roll was crunchy, hot and fresh and they were generous with the veggie & beef filling (must eat with soy or duck sauce)
Boneless ribs and chicken wings were delicious 10/10!
Sweet & sour chicken was more like chicken tenders, the batter they fry the chicken in is extremely sweet and the sauce comes on top.
The pork fried rice was bland and a bit hard. Definitely must eat with soy or duck sauce.
Honey chicken isn’t Spicy at all. Extremely sweet and the sauce is thick. They throw a couple of pieces of broccoli in as well.
Overall it was a good experience. The staff was hardworking and friendly. Everything was made fresh and the wait wasn’t long at all. & the amount of food you get for the price is more than worth it.
Hard to find parking.
Great takeout joint. Ordered thru DoorDash for pickup, and the order was ready even earlier than expected. Guys behind the counter were really friendly and prices are quite reasonable. The crispy fried noodles had loads of actual fresh veg in them, as did the wonton soup which was nice to see.
Pick-up service is extremely fast. You call in, and it's usually ready by the time you get there. Food is of decent quality and is tasty (I usually get Gao, Boneless Spare Ribs, & Chicken Fingers). People are friendly. If you're sitting down it's very basic booths - don't expect anything fancy.
Food quality / portions are worth the price.
Best cheap Chinese food around!! We always order from here, and tell our friends to, and ten they always do too! Great food, great prices, just wish the woman who takes the orders and answers the phone would be a little happier😂
Food has good flavor. Large portions for the money. We ordered from the combo area of the menu. Plus appetizers. Way too much food. We did tell them not to add msg. Except for the pre-made sauces, which tgey told us about ahead of time, they did as we asked.
Delivery was quick.
We we're very satisfied with this place and would order from them again.
A lot of Chinese food is hit or miss but Hong Kong Chef stays consistently quality. They cool without too much grease and the family that runs it is real friendly. Always happy to come in.
