If you're as big of a fan of peking ravioli as I am (and maybe even had it as a staple growing up), you'll know that it's a dying breed that's getting harder and harder to find in Boston. Many restaurants claim to make it, but upon arrival you're sorely disappointed: the wrapper is too thin, too fried, or the filling isn't quite right.
As a fellow peking ravioli / dumpling connessieur, I can assure you: the peking ravioli made at JP Kitchen are perfect. Sure they're not fancy, but they're exactly like the frozen ones you used to be able to find in Chinatown grocery stores in the days of old: SUPER doughy wrapper with the perfect amount of gushy, tasty, pork filling.
The ones pictured here are the steamed version. I'm very much looking forward to trying their fried version the next time!
This place has really good food, I recently moved to the area and was a little nervous about ordering Chinese food because once your used to certain kind of food, you dont want to waste money on terrible food ... Well I took the chance anyway and I'm sure glad I did! I ordered a pupu platter for 2 and it was 5 stars! The shrimp was the best I ever had the beef teriyaki was very good and the boneless spareribs 5 stars! I dont like chicken on the bone so I didn't eat the chicken wings but my parrot was singing so 5 stars from him. And with the pupu platter you receive rice which was ok, I all so ordered gai poa lo mai and i wasn't too crazy about that but that could be my own preference. I will definitely order again.
Definitely the best take-out Chinese in JP!
If I had a choice, this would be my no. 1 choice. The problem is, I work late pretty much every day. They close at 9pm most days and I will end up ordering much later. They are open later on the weekends. So, that when I usually get my opportunity to order.
There is nothing I haven't liked. I especially like their won-ton soup. So good!
Are there better Chinese places in Boston? Of course. However, for regular take-out Chinese food, you can't go wrong!
I really want to mention, they are super nice people. Always very friendly and helpful.
This is a great local business! Do them and yourself a favor and get some JP Kitchen!
Great food. My new go to chinese spot.
Incredibly tasty and at a great price! Love the shrimp with vegetables and the General Gau's chicken. The chicken is crispy, the sauce it's tossed in tastes great, and the portions are excellent. Also really like their fried rice. I had the lobster sauce and that wasn't so tasty--it had chunks of some type of meat, maybe sausage, and tasted nothing of lobster... unlike any lobster sauce dish I've ever had before. Other than that, though, great spot, great customer service. Highly recommend.
JP Kitchen’s food is consistently very good. We have ordered from here at least 5-6 times and it is always great. We finally found a Chinese restaurant that we really enjoy! The cashew chicken is the best I have had in a very long time. Thank you JP Kitchen and please keep up the good work!
I was craving a little bit of Chinese Food. The front counter girl was fantastic and friendly. It's a nice size restaurant and VERY clean. Told the front end staff that the last Chinese restaurant in Boston was horrible.
This place gave me great food. Awesome and fresh- hot too. Prices are good too.
I am not from Boston and I am trying to find food that is good when i do work in Boston.
Fast derby. Friendly staff and the food is great.
I order from here every single weekend basically. Food is so good & have never had a bad experience with delivery.
First time buying food from here . Let me tell you it’s the bomb and fresh
