This is one of those small, intimate, one of a kind coffee shops with great atmosphere, including a gas fireplace, wi-fi, and excellent staff who make eye contact and seem to really enjoy what they do. Loved the music they were playing and my iced latte was made to perfection. I will definitely return soon!
Asked for help on how to take the Green line. Came back three times during our stay in Boston. Great service, funny employees, good food. Highly recommend!
Tiny cozy cafe. Great Tea and pastries. The atmosphere is the best.
If you like cozy hidden away cafes to come and just read a book next to a little fire oven then this is the perfect place. Their great selection of tea from allover the world makes it a great spot for tea lovers too. They serve food too, but only until 3pm when the kitchen closes. I really like this place.
When I was living on Mission Hill this was my go to morning spot. The coffee is tasty and the vibe there is really cool with local art on the walls and indie music playing. Gets busy quick and food takes a while to get made but the wait is worth it. I always found myself gravitating towards the Popeye sandwich and the Calumet smoothie.
I'm pretty particular about my coffee shops. I usually don't care for pastries or sandwiches. I care how good is their coffee. Green T is by far the best coffee I've had so far. I like my coffee to have me uncomfortably wired if I drink it too fast. I like to taste my coffee, it should be strong and bitter, it should taste like it was brewed by a medicine man. I've had their coffee hot and iced, both are excellent, the iced coffee is deadly for how fast you can drink it vs. how hard it hits. A medium iced redeye literally had me pacing around the lab not knowing what to do with myself. Cheap too, I reviewed another coffee shop where the price just didn't reflect their product, I'll pay whatever at Green T because I get that quality every time.
It's a smaller shop, there's hardly any seating, don't order food unless you're willing to wait for it (their grilled cheeses are delicious though), but the coffee is worth the visit alone.
Great coffee and breakfast bagels! Definitely worth the visit and trying our the assortment of items on the menu. They also have great smoothies that are named after nearby streets. Definitely recommend dropping by!
Really cool vibes from this place. I have enjoyed every drink and pastry I've gotten from there. The staff is quirky and fun. It can be hard to spot of you are not looking for it specifically. You have to go down a few stairs to enter.
Who needs places like Starbucks when you have a cozy, independent, and fair-priced cafe to give your business too?
Although not much larger than someone's living room, this place is a great little find if you happen to be jonesing for some coffee or sandwiches. Located right by the Fenwood stop on the E line, I get the vibe that this place is often overlooked because of its location but for those who know about it, they understand just how lucky they are to have found it.
Food and drinks are all very well priced, especially when compared to places like
Starbucks (none of which are located close by) or The Pavement, which is located about a mile down Huntington. With tables surrounded by art and bookcases, you actually really do feel like you've walked into someone's living/dining area and that vibe assists with making you feel all the more welcomed.
As for why I am only giving it four and not five, I did find the service to be a bit slow, but then again, I am a native New Yorker. The idea of waiting even more than three minutes for a coffee is just not natural to me. Also, they stop serving food after 3pm which sucks if you wanted to get a late lunch or something. However, don't let these little grievances deter you. If you live in the area and like to support independent businesses, then support this one.
Smoothies are some of my favorites in Back Bay, and their breakfast burritos have gotten me through some drunken nights on Mission Hill. Love when they are open til 3 in the summer. Limited seating.
Love their Big Breakfast sandwich with Turkey sausage on a Spinach wrap. Unfortunately no fresh orange juice or even a good squeezed orange juice brand to buy.
The green T has a great selection of smoothies, as well as coffee and sandwiches. I recommend the Huntington smoothie and the Atlantic Salmon on a raisin bagel.
Cozy little cafe tucked away by the Fenwood Rd. T stop. Great coffee and pastries and a menu of breakfast sandwiches I look forward to trying next time.
