I have not been into that building since it was Dotties, way back. What a great job they did with the space, super friendly staff and the drinks and food were outstanding. So excited this is practically my neighborhood! I had the espresso rubbed salmon, to die for! Can't wait to go back and try the short rib raviolis!!!
First time at Bacaro last night with 2 other couples. Very comfortable, cozy place with a nice bar area as well. Our waitress was wonderful and the service was excellent. We ordered 3 appetizers, calamari, arancino and the stuffed procioutto and they were all delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees as well. Gnocchi with duck was an unusual combination, but turned out to be delicious. I ordered the short ribs with papadelle and that great. We ordered 2 orders (3 in each) of the canolis for the table. They were also very good and just the right size for after dinner. The portions were just right and the price was very reasonable. Definitely will visit again. Much easier than going to the North End and the food is just as good and the price is better. Free parking on the street as well.
4.5 stars, would go again. Came for dinner for Dine Out Boston. Not too loud which I liked, but it was an early dinner. Food came quick and employees were pleasant. Parking is available in a lot right next to the restaurant. Street parking also available, but seems kind of stressful finding a spot in a busy neighborhood.
The bread and oil/vinaigrette are good, as others have mentioned. I had the carbonara which was good, and was too full to eat more than a bite of the second course until work. Excuse the poor photo, it’s a much more filling portion than it appears.
Eating microwaved filet mignon at work is kind of sad, so not sure if that’s part of it, but even when I tried it when it was still the day of, I’ve had better steak. Wasn’t wowed by it, but the polenta was surprisingly good. Slightly cheesy, very solid.
The tiramisu was fine but not memorable? And yet I’ve never met a tiramisu I didn’t like.
Pleasant atmosphere and very kind and attentive staff. To start I ordered the arancini, which unfortunately didn't have any seasoning and the oil flavor was strong. The Burrata bruschetta was delicious, the best I've ever eaten. My main order was a Lonster Risotto, which unfortunately was also lacking in flavor and seasoning. I would go back again to try other dishes.
This gem is literally up the street from me and I couldn't be happier. We drop in all the time and never get tired. The food and drinks are fantastic (love the Ragu) and they always great us with a warm smile and great conversation. I feel like I'm walking into a friend's spot to say hello. Highly recommend this place.
This place was great, the staff was super friendly, and they accommodated our big group on marathon weekend, which was awesome! Their food was delicious. I had the arincini to start. I wish it had more sauce with it or some sauce to dip it in. For my main meal, I had the genevese, which was a pesto pasta, and it was good. Worth stopping in!
Dine here on 3/25/23 as part of dine out Boston, this was my second time eating here and the food was just as good as it was the first time. The staff is lovely and attentive, gives off a real family vibe. We will definitely be dining here again
I don’t usually write reviews but this restaurant blew my mind. Probably the best meal I’ve had of 2023, most likely even longer, and I travel and/or eat out regularly. I had the espresso salmon that was plated over arugula/sweet potatoes with two glasses of red wine. The bread was served with the best balsamic vinegar I’ve ever tasted and I’ve worked in Italian and fine dining restaurants. The prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. The owner was kind and accommodating from the moment I walked in to the moment I left, and you can tell it’s a neighborhood favorite for regulars. The staff all seemed to really get along too, and were hanging out at the bar after their shifts. I spent over 12 years in the restaurant industry and that kind of camaraderie is really great sign. At the end of my meal they asked me where I was from (Philly) and we joked about our sports rivalry, all in good fun. Excellent little gem in a small, cute and diverse neighborhood.
One of our favorite restaurants! Food is delicious (and we’ve tried half the menu). Favorites include the ragu, Venezia pasta, and the espresso salmon. They have frequent specials that are always a treat. Can’t miss this place!
We got the Lobster Risotto , Espresso Salmon, and a kids pizza. The Salmon was FANTASTIC!!!!!! I have never tasted something so good and the maple Dijon glaze was a perfect combination to the dish. My bf had the Lobster Risotto. He tried something new and gave it a 10/10. I want to personally thank the staff as it was my bf bday and we got a lemon cake on the house. We will definitely be going back.
It’s a perfect restaurant. The food is delicious. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and courteous. Everything is clean. The drinks are well made. I can’t say enough good things about Antonio’s.
I love Italian food and I love finding new places that know how to do it right. everything was on point. space was big and airy. bread at the beginning of the meal could've been enough for me. with the oil and balsamic these people really get me.
