Each star represents x number of CF sandwiches (plus coffee, soups, pastries, and various sundries)! City Feed has been a staple of my JP life; it helps to make JP a great place to live. I love the space and variety of the Centre St. location, but I can't wait for Little Feed to be back up and running!

Lively atmosphere with interesting items that you wouldn't get at an ordinary grocery store. This is a great place to go if you not only want groceries but want to explore with things you wouldn't want to get on an ordinary trip. However, I have to take off one star because of the pricing. Special things like gourmet cheeses or vegan eggs I can understand why the price would be higher, but not regular produce. Here, vegetables, eggs, milk, etc. is always more here than at ordinary grocery stores, which shouldn't be the case because here the products are the exact same. For example, red onions at Stop and Shop are $1.99 for a two pound bag, a half dozen eggs from Country Hen are $5.29, and this exact same bottle of Sriracha Sauce at a nearby Asian grocery store is $3.99. I know that City Feed is a special grocery store but prices for the exact same thing should not be this much higher. One more thing, I also saw a poster displaying that the workers are organizing for a union, I would be very interested about updates on that, and is something I believe City Feed should support as well. Overall, this is a great place, but I would only stick to buying gourmet or specialty items you wouldn't find at your ordinary grocery store.

A cornucopia of a market, with a perfect representation of a worthy cause, such as helping to feed the "Worlds" 🌎🌎🌎 hungry. With the Greatest Expectations for the "Starving" of our most magnificent Earth. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈ And an inspiring place to sip our Lattes, while listening to open-minded musical geniuses, such as Lennon, Simon &Garfunkel, Julian Lennon, and perhaps Abner Levine???πŸ˜‰ (with a little more work) Great Cheers and hope for Oneness πŸ’œ For our most Beloved World. πŸ€™πŸ€™πŸ€™

Great verity of goods, take out food made to order, quality produce section. I like to grab lunch there, but morning coffee and such are also good.

At the moment, this is the only neighborhood grocery store in Jamaica Plain that has a co-op feeling (though it's sadly not a co-op!). Some things I love about it: they sell local produce, fish, and dairy (including milk in the reusable bottles); you can buy equal exchange and other brands of coffee in bulk; they have some decent specials every month ($4.50 organic mayo, $2 organic blueberries, $2 kale, etc.); they have a nice selection of beer and wine; and the employees are overall very friendly! A few things I don't like are that: they don't sell more things in bulk; they sometimes overcharge if a sale price has not been entered into the computer, so I feel like I have to always look at the little checkout screen; and the prepared coffee is quite expensive (even when I bring my reusable thermos, it's nearly $3 for a regular small coffee). Oh, two more things that are great! The hours, and the hot chocolate -- so delicious!

I've only had their coffee (which is amazing and deserves 5 stars), but I haven't tried grocery shopping here yet. But, I will say, they have some looooong bananas... (they're organic, too!)

Amazing place. Small neighborhood market with. Reminds you of a typical NYC style urban market and a bodega combined. The products and fresh and high quality. Friendly staff. Pro tip: being in downtown Jamaica Plain, parking can be a pain. May need to park in residential areas at times.

Quant. Nice inside. Lots of unique and country store type of foods. Beer, wine, fresh veggies, dairy, cheese, breads, coffees. They are not cheap. Prices are high on many Items.

Amazing place! Loved the selection of ethical coffee and local baked goods as well as the grocery options. No Wi-Fi though, so be aware.

Pros Love the sandwiches and pies they make which inspires me to make my own at home when I cannot go there. It feels alot like things are home made and I love that. But prices are on the higher side. Cereals can cost up to $10. But most of the things are quite organic. I love the cabin feel interior. Flower bouquets are pretty but again pricey. I like the community fridge on the back outside the store. Cons I wish seats are on a sidewalk and not in the midst of the car path. seating are just blocked off by road props and not colors to surely see at night. All this in the middle of the car road Feels very dangerous to sit outside. Cars get aggressive with each other. Honking so loud it hurts my ears. Can't eat there feeling relaxed. So only 4 stars.
