This delicious little place is right around the corner from Mike’s pastries. I would definitely recommend going here, there cupcakes are homemade and fresh and awesome. There ice cream is also homemade and you can tell they care because it is super yummy.

I ordered my mother a chocolate birthday cake from Lulu's and it was a big hit with the whole family! It was perfect from the icing, the message and the moist chocolaty goodness. The people there were super helpful and friendly.

I love coming to Lulu's. This is one of the first cupcake shops I visited when I first moved to Boston and I fell in love then and keep coming back. I love all the cupcakes and the flourless chocolate cookie. I try to make a trip back in every time I'm in town. I recommend red velvet, lemon curd and turtle are my top 3. Thank you for your hospitality. Best customer service.
Yes, Lulu's is open again, now on Salem St in the North End. The cupcakes are still tasty, though they are still a wee bit too sweet for me, but I don't fault them for that since I'm not much of a sugar guy. My only complaint was I called in an order for 2 cupcakes with a little writing on them more than 24 hours in advance and was told they'd be ready, only to show up and find the cashier befuddled and neither of my cupcakes prepared - though she did tell me to come back in a half-hour and had put them together. Snafu aside, the cupcakes taste good, and that's what matters.
I met the owner as she was buying a whole flat of fresh strawberries to use in her cream. She uses only fresh, local and high quality ingredients. She even makes her syrups from scratch. And believe me, I could taste the difference! The ice teams are to DIE for! Purple cow, strawberry, bourbon (she uses wild turkey) pecan, salted caramel, Oreo...are they open now?
First review! Lulu's is a local legend, and my first order from them just made my mum's day. She just loved her birthday cake. It was a chocolate ganache with mocha butter cream. It was finger lickin' good. And they price their cakes very reasonably!
I have had cupcakes from all over the country and world and Lulu's are by far, one of the best. The selections of flavors is very large and the staff is very knowledgeable of the cupcakes. The salted caramel is my personal favorite and the chocolate cake is very moist. If you are in Boston, Lulu's is a must!!
