Horribly overpriced, but still a uniquely New Englander experience. We did love the lobster.

Great oyster joint. Make a reservation. I stumble in on a Wednesday evening and secured the only non-reserved seat. It was total luck.

Nicest staff! Amazingly helpful in picking out oysters and wine. First time I've ever had a lobster roll and it was seriously incredible! Worth the higher price because it was absolutely fantastic.

Can’t beat their $1 oyster deals (right now on Mondays and during snowstorms) - but even if you don’t get the deal, their oysters are great, and the rest of the menu is crafted with passion by their super nice chef. Beer and wine selection is superb. One of my fave spots in the North End!

Off the beaten path (not crowded), great service. Wine and clam chowder are off the charts. Peter waited on me; added knowledge and a fun edge to my experience.

This place ruined tomatoes for us for the rest of our lives. The heirloom tomato salad is off the hook. Sean made a delicious salad for us that we couldn't stop eating. The oysters were unbelievable and so was the shrimp cocktail. Oh, and the ambiance, so perfect. Such a cozy and personable place for a great night out or a quick app and a cocktail.

Really good oysters with a decent selection from multiple states. The ocean blue was super tasty and they also have an amazing all natural wine selection. The hot lobsta roll was really good too. Best of all Scott was an amazing host who knew a lot about the wines and oysters. He was also just an all around super chill dude.

Eat here. The food is so fresh and delicious. Loved every part of our meal. The space is beautiful and intimate, cocktails we're well made and stiff, lobster roll was overflowing with fresh lobster and the perfect butter bun, whole branzino was to die for, and even the bread and butter were really enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!

We headed to the North end to get into Neptune, but the wait there was 4 hours?!? Disappointed (though not for long), we stumbled on North Square Oyster, and what a pleasant surprise that worked out to be. We got a window seat upstairs which was stellar. Service was polite and friendly. Food was a standout, lobster roll being the highlight, oysters were good, much like the cod (fish and chips), clams, and mussels. If I had to complain, I'd say there was a slight tendancy towards over-seasoning, but nothing excessive by any means. All in all, I'm left confused as to why anyone would wait 4 hours, when they can walk a few extra steps and get a meal of this caliber. Who knows, maybe the bar is that high in Boston?!?

To be entirely honest, I wanted to get into another seafood place in the area but there was an awfully long line. That's how I randomly found the North Square Oyster, and what a find! The place itself is lovely, very nicely decorated and friendly atmosphere and service. The food was amazing. I had a lobster roll - which wasn't cheap, but totally lived up to the price. Customers seemed to be proportionally more locals than in the other places around the same area (north end felt very touristic), and I'd say that was also a welcome surprise. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Boston.
