I have been trying to get ANYONE to make a veal scallopini with a Pommery mustard sauce since leaving employment with the Orangerie Restaurant in 1988 to no avail. All of the best restaurants in all of the best cities gave the same blank stare when requested until I walked in to this diamond on a side street. A brief pause and 'yeah, we can do that' (an incredibly rare, not on any menu specialty dish, and they didn't even flinch). Their creation topped the masterpiece I used to enjoy at my Five Star, Five Diamond resort and cost half the price. Everything our family ordered was incredible and the service complimented the incredible food and environment that can only be found in the North End of Boston. Don't miss this place!

Absolutely fabulous food and service! We’ve found our new favorite Italian restaurant! Every plate we had was fantastic. The arancini, caesar salad, seafood linguine, pappardelle bolognaise, tiramisu & cannolis were fresh & delicious!

Nice People, Nice Place, Good Food. We seem to find the best places by accident.
Pellino's was no exception.
We were wandering around the North End one evening and were just talking about getting some dinner.
We walked around the corner on a little side street and there it was.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted warmly and given a table right by the window.
We ordered a bottle of wine and spent some time talking with our server, who was quite friendly.
My wife ordered the Chicken Risotto which was fabulous.
The server seemed to sense that I was having a hard time deciding so he offered me a "special" that wasn't on the menu. It was a New York strip with a mushroom and red wine reduction, with vegetables and pasta.
It was great!
All in all we had a very good time at Pellino's. I would definitely go back.

Excellent Italian. Fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere. If you need spice ask for extra spicy. Will return.

LOVE Pellino's. We ate here a couple of times and loved the restaurant so much that we decided to have our wedding lunch here. The food is delicious -- everything is homemade, there is no shortage of garlic, and the staff are friendly and charming. This truly is a mom-and-pop operation, and they could not be nicer people, or easier to work with in planning our big day. They went above and beyond our expectations. I definitely recommend the eggplant napoleon, and all of the homemade pasta dishes. i would also HIGHLY recommend Pellino's if you need a warm, cozy place for a party of up to 40 people. Everyone in our families raved about the food, wine, etc., and some of them are really picky!

Very good authentic restaurant, highly recommended. Been here a couple times, for take out and a dinner in. The rack of lamb is excellent, and I've had the chicken caccaitore and I thought it was better than most other north end restaurants who make the same dish. Decor is romantic, and they have the exposed brick wall, gives you a feel for the old-world italian restaurants. And the chocolate cake dessert is a must, don't skip it.

The outside dining has really added to the atmosphere in the North End. Pellino’s like many of the other Italian eateries is quaint and has a neighborhood feel. The owner came out and spoke to me like I was just stopping by for dinner. The butternut squash ravioli was stuffed with enough filling you could taste it which I appreciated. The sauce was sweet which may not be to everyone’s liking. Bread was decent with the olive oil. Overall no complaints, a nice meal.

I'm not Italian nor am I from Boston so I had no idea which of the many Italian restaurants to try. The restaurants on the main street were full so we walked down a side street and found Pellino's. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were moderate and the food was excellent. Their pasta and sauce is homemade and their homemade bread is fairly amazing. I definitely recommend them and would certainly go back.

My friends and I stumbled upon Pellino's while walking around town and What a Find! I had the veal Saltimbocca my friends had eggplant Parm, shrimp scampi and Casarecce sausage and broccoli rabe. Everything was fantastico! We finished our meal with cappuccinos, tiramisu and cannolis. If you're in town you definitely have to try this place You will not be disappointed!

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food, The lobster ravioli is a must! Great customer service and very good location. Parking can be challenging so I would keep that in mind when planning your dinner time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

First off, the server Justin was the reason we stopped and sat down. He had us at warm home made bread and this may be a bold statement but I’ll say out of the 25+ restaurants I’ve eaten at in the North End, Pellino’s has some of the the best bread. We got the Chicken Parm Spring Roll as an appetizer and it was just as good as that sounds—not traditional but take the crispy Asian style spring roll but fill it up with an Italian classic and dip it in marinera sauce. Then for the main course I got the Cod Risotto and it did not disappoint! Many other good things in the menu that I will look forward to coming back for! I’ll go with the Butternut Ravioli next while it is in season!

The food here was amazing. Definitely better than I expected. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel as if you knew them forever and were part of the family. I would highly recommend and would definitely eat here again. You can tell the pasta and bread was freshly made.

Delicious every time I go! I’ve been going here for years. The pasta is incredible - it’s all made by hand here and you can absolutely tell! Last time I tried something new for me, the shrimp risotto, and it was incredible. My fiancé tried the lobster shrimp fra diavolo, and he loved it. Lobster was from Maine- very fresh! The servings of seafood were very generous for the price. I host all of my family events here, including my college graduation dinner with all out of town guests. To me, a true north end experience includes a trip to Pellino’s!

Absolutely delicious! I had the Eggplant Parm and it was enough for 3 meals. Of course, I had to start with calamari too.

Great early dinner on a busy Saturday evening. We sat outdoors and had an amazing experience. The waiter was very attentive and had good recommendations. We started with the tasty burrata over prosciutto and the great crusty basket of bread. My wife then had and greatly enjoyed the Eggplant Modugnese. I had the waiter recommended Rack of Lamb which he said was the restaurant’s signature dish and it did not disappoint. The lamb was well cooked and amazingly well seasoned. The atmosphere off of Hanover was relaxing and enjoyable and made for a great evening out.

Pretty good Italian food at Pellinos. The chicken parm platter came with two giant pieces of chicken and came with a side of homemade pasta
