The best seafood pasta that I've ever had. I had the Swordfish with a side of ink pasta and I was astounded. I've eaten a lot of pasta dishes, and they had all tried to accomplish what this dish pulled off. It was robust, strong, flavorful beyond expectation, and just breathtaking. I could taste the sea when I chewed the Swordfish, the pasta was bold and thick, and the roasted tomatoes were phenomenal. Everything complimented each other beautifully and combined for a complete dish. The atmosphere was giving Anthony Bourdain and I feel lucky to have gotten a seat. Our server was excellent, accommodating, and never rushed us. The cooks were incredible, and the ability to watch them cook our meal was a treat. It was our anniversary and I couldn't imagine a better place to be. Must see

Phenomenal food!! We wait for a bit in line (I did not know this is the original location and the waterfront location has less people/is bigger/takes reservations) but regardless,, it’s was worth it!! Such great quality pasta and such fresh seafood. My favorite was the vongole paService was superb and I was entranced by the chef cooking. Would definitely recommend and would come back next time I’m in Boston!

This place had “Anthony Bourdain” written all over it. Figuratively, not literaly. I don’t know if he’s ever been. But this restaurant is a place that he would’ve ADORED. Very small, no more than 15/20 tables. Big open and exposed kitchen, and some of the absolute best seafood you’ll have in Boston. So much so, that my partner and I came here for our 1 year anniversary dinner. They got the North End style Swordfish with a side of black ink pasta. I got the Linguini and Clams also with the black ink pasta. This was the most excellent way to celebrate our special day. We aren’t very fancy and neither was this restaurant, which added to the charm. They don’t need fancy cocktails or chandeliers from the ceiling, as the food speaks for itself. Our server was very sweet and working hard to make sure we, as well as everyone else in the restaurant was well taken care of. Would love to come back on our next trip to Boston. If you don’t stop here while in the North End, you’re truly doing yourself a disservice. Thank you The Daily Catch !

Tiny place, but well worth the wait! They were very professional about my dairy allergy, and clear about what menu items I could have. They're white sauce was delicious! I added clams and it's among the next pasta dishes I've ever had. My husband enjoyed the black pasta with Alfredo, which he also recommends (not dairy free). Definitely recommend if you have a dairy allergy!

The food is absolutely amazing! Really fun place to eat at. Cash only and no reservations. Get there early. Very Very small. That's part of the fun. You are sitting inches away from the food being cooked.

2 hours line to get in, Saturday night. Crazy. As we got in, can tell the staff wasn’t really happy because some customers didn’t follow the rules ( that not everyone at the party presented) Food was alright, not best best. Consider you have to wait the heck of long time, I wouldn’t want to do it again. Everywhere is long line here Saturday night. I prefer the squid ink pasta over the lobster fra diavolo. Lobster one was a pretty big portion, please order 1 not 2 or you’ll get ton.

So delicious! Remember it’s cash only 🤓 We had calamari as a starter and they were amazing. I had a Alfredo which was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was great as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Stepping into this hidden gem feels like being transported to Italy itself. Despite the extended waiting times, which can hover around an hour, every moment spent anticipating your meal is worth it. The allure of a genuine, immersive Italian dining experience awaits you at this bustling Boston restaurant. The ambiance inside is enchanting, carrying an air of authenticity that instantly connects you to the heart of Italy. But the real star of the show is the food. The symphony of flavors that dance on your palate are akin to a meticulously composed Italian opera, and they have mastered this culinary art form to perfection. My favorite dish, which is easily among the best meals I’ve ever had, was exquisitely prepared. The blend of spices, freshness of the ingredients, and the artful presentation felt like a love letter to traditional Italian cuisine. Yes, the wait may test your patience, but it also builds the anticipation for the gastronomic delight that follows. Despite being in the heart of Boston, the moment you step inside, you’re taken on a journey through the tastes and smells of Italy. It’s truly a testament to their dedication to providing a genuine, unforgettable dining experience. In a world full of instant gratification, this delightful Italian restaurant reminds us that some things in life are worth waiting for.

The food is very good-my lobster fra diavolo was good and the food of the other people in the restaurant that I saw was as well. If you come here you can be pretty confident the food will be somewhere between really good and great. My first impression of the restaurant is that it created a lot of hype and anticipation for itself. It's small even by north end standards, only about twenty seats. There is no room inside to wait for a table, and no bar seating, so you have to stand outside in a line with basically no guidance from the staff regarding how the process works or how long the wait will be. Reservations are not accepted, credit cards are not accepted (only cash), and beer and wine are served in plastic cups. Part of the charm of the North end is that the restaurants are somewhat inconvenient... What I mean by that is that spaces are tight, you will probably bump into other people's chairs, and many places have a wait. But this restaurant seemed on the extreme end of all of those, to the point that it made the experience less enjoyable. I attended on a Thursday night, and on this particular night I saw three employees. There was one server, one dishwasher, and one chef. When I arrived the restaurant was full, and I waited in the outdoor line for about an hour. As the tables in the restaurant finished one by one, the people in the line were not immediately admitted inside. Instead, they waited for the entire restaurant to empty, then filled all 20 seats with people waiting in line. This put a lot of pressure on the server because there was only one of him and all of the tables wanted something at the same time. Not a great operational plan in my opinion. The server was very nice and very good. I am confident that if I ever see him again we can have a beer together and it would be fun times. The problem with having 1 server is, no matter how good that server is, if 20 people sit down at the same time there is no way anybody gets good service. If you happen to be one of the last tables the server gets to, not only will you wait a very long time in the outdoor line, but it will also be slow service even once you sit down. Similar with the chef--even a great chef can only cook so many dishes at a time, and many tables waited a long time to get their food. At least that was the case on the night that I went. All of this puts a lot of pressure on the food. The lack of other amenities essentially acts like a promise that the food will be so great as to make up for the other issues. And make no mistake, the food comes close to doing just that. My dish had good flavor, good consistency with the sauce, fresh ingredients, and a really big portion. I really had no complaints with the value, my glass of wine was $11--in a restaurant that had fancier glasses they probably could have sold the same glass of wine for $20. My entree was around $65, which is definitely expensive, but it included a whole lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari, and homemade pasta. I thought the price was fairly reasonable. Everything about this restaurant implied that the food wilould be the best you've ever had. While extremely good and fresh, for me the food fell just a little bit short of that expectation. I thought the lobster, calamari, and pasta were overcooked by a minute or so. Not terrible and certainly not enough to ruin the dish--but just slightly imperfect. If I had the choice again, I would probably choose a restaurant that had a little bit more efficient of a process. I still thought this restaurant was very good, with good food and staff, but just slightly falling short of what I hoped for.

This is my 3rd time here. They are very consistent with their food. It’s such an amazing experience when your taste buds are pleased. The wait is oftentimes long;however, it’s worth it. Our server is André and pays attention well. Will definitely come back.
