This is a family-owned and operated diner that reminded me of some I grew up eating at. No frills nor trendy decor, just old-fashioned (meant positiviely) service and traditional food for a good price. Great pancakes, decent sausage patties, really good grits, and the scrambled eggs were just right. The service was attentive and very polite. It appears they may be closing shop soon which is a shame. It seems like corporate, franchised restaurants continue to expand whereas gems like this fade away. Eat here while you still can - highly recommended!

The Best Western omelet I have ever had.I'm from Wilmington North Carolina and we did a small trip to Boone and I came across this wonderful restaurant and I would recommend it to everyone that vis. It the area it's well worth it

I love going to Mary's Kitchen!!! It had been about 15 years since my last visit. Everything was still wonderful except the waffle maker was broke 😭😞😭.

This is a local favorite for good reason, homey old school cooking with home-made biscuits like your mom and grandmother would make. Great food, friendly staff. Get the chocolate gravy biscuit for a different take on breakfast, you won't regret it.

Stopped by on a work trip..classic dinner stop with a wonderful breakfast. Family run and worth a stop. Prices are very reasonable.
Don't miss it as signage is minimal. Skip the chains and go see Mary!

This is a real restaurant like I remember as a child. Great food-super hash browns-biscuits-like your Grandma cooked for you♥️ Wish I lived here-I would eat here very often! Little bit of a drive but worth it.
