We were there for a BS+Beer meeting on a weeknight. I think it's the first time I've been in the downtown Boone area. It's a nice quiet little main street location. It wasn't crowded and parking was available on the street. They have a nice somewhat isolated room for meeting which was nice. It had a monitor for presentations and made a nice small meeting spot for maybe 29 people or less

This was our first time stopping at Ransom, I like to try new spots when visiting Boone and the menu sounded good so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant/bar is a decent size and the place stayed consistently busy, we had a party of 8 and didn’t have to wait. I don’t think there was ever much of a wait for any guest now that I think about it. Our waitress was great, super mindful of our one guest’s allergies and overall super pleasant. Everybody enjoyed their food and her recommendation for my Cajun Pasta was on point. I’ve tried mango habanero wings at a bunch of places and this is probably one of the better ones that I’ve had, for me it was the right balance of sweet and heat. Some places lean more on the heat and that’s fine but for me personally I like a bit of heat and still being able to get through them all. I’ll definitely be back and looking forward to trying some other things on the menu.

First time visiting Ransom and I think I found my new favorite place to eat in Boone! The messy gouda burger was absolutely delicious and the tots were some of the best I've ever had. My wife got the the cheffy's summer salad and especially loved the lemon vinaigrette. The atmosphere was great, music was enjoyable and the staff were very attentive and everyone seemed happy to be there. We will 100% be back!

Great vibe from all the staff and clientele at the bar. Drinks were a little weak, but still good. Loved the fried cauliflower with dipping sauces. All the food leaving the kitchen looked great. Would def come again

We had a wonderful lunch here a while back and tried a few things. The Club sandwich was yummy and the Mac and cheese was devoured quick by my kids.

Great atmosphere with plenty of beer options. They have classic southern entrees as well as a few vegan/vegetarian options. I'll definitely be going back.

Inside is beautiful with wood, exposed brick and vibrant lighting. Having eaten here twice, the food has been on point. The pizza is robust with flavor and toppings, the "Messy Gouda" burger was packed with flavor! The staff has been very professional and tactful. Last night however you could tell how short staffed they were, which made wait times for drinks and ordering longer. For a family time you shouldn't arrive later as the venue turns more into a bar with locals.

This place was great! Open late night on a Sunday which is why we came, had some beers and BBQ it was excellent. Super nice server and BBQ/mac&cheese/tots combination was great! We also got a pizza and it was great too!! We were visiting from Raleigh, check it out.
