Travelled from Blackpool to see my son and gran kids in Bolton, I made a dash to ye olde pastie shoppe. Been 12 years since had a pastie from here omg they are still the best I've ever tasted and so cheap. I'll be visiting my home town again really soon and I will definitely be back for more pasties, whiss pies and sausage roll...oh and visit my son and gran sons lol.

As an ex-Boltonian, every chance I get to go back to Bolton, the most important establishment I visit is Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe. Absolutely wonderful to be the best pasties and confectionery that I remember from my youth. At the end of this month, I will be seventy years old, enough said!!!

This place has been around long than any of us reading this. Saturday used to be my treat when my parents brought me a pasties and a meat pie, I still enjoy them some 50 years later. Also like the plate meat and large fruit pies as well.

Best local bakers in Bolton.
Pasties and Pies cakes bread sandwiches are all top quality. The prices are reasonable and far from greedy, like the other pastie shops around Bolton.
Well Done and thank you. My children all 5 of them aged from 34 to 9 have loved your pasties and pies for ever. My Mum in the late 70s and 80s took me shopping in Bolton would always get me a pie.

Wow... fantastic old history, the food is great & the quality is great. The pastry they use on the pasty is to die for, not stodgy or thick. Would recommend for a snack, it does only open limited times so check 1st. Ejoy

Well what can we say this place makes the best tastey pasties ever. I used to live in Bury and often shopped in Bolton with my Mum we used to get pasties sit in the church grounds and enjoy them maybe even have a cake too. I've heard that your closing and feel that is so sad and so many people will miss you all and the amazing pasties. My daughter has brought us some over today to Accrington where we live now and we really enjoyed them 100% nectar. Thanku nobody will make pasties like you . Good luck in ur new venture xx

A very down to earth experience, had to queue for 5 minutes because only 2 in shop at once. Very friendly. The lady who served me even went out back to get me a Vanilla Slice, well worth it😋. Well worth a visit, I only went because of Danny Malin @RateMyTakeAway. Delicious😋 (I did also buy an Eccles Cake) all for £3.60!!! Well worth it. I will visit again. NB: They close tomorrow for 2 weeks re-open 02/08.
