Okay, so in all fairness I got here pretty close to closing time. And while I always believe that the food should be just as good at closing as it is at opening, I realized that's not always the case. I sampled a little bit of everything and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the brisket out of everything it was the best! The ribs were also decent but I suspect they were better earlier in the day. The only meat that was a total disappointment was the pulled chicken. It was barely warm and super dry. Both of the sides were decent I tried the mac and cheese and the baked beans. The baked beans were pretty damn good! Food came out super fast and the service was excellent from start to finish. Bartender also threw together her version of a smoked old fashion to polish off the night, and it was magnificent! I'll definitely be back to give them another try.

I visited for the first time earlier today with my husband. Service could've been much better. It took awhile for someone to come to our table and he didn't seem too friendly, just gave us our menus and left. The next guy that came to take our order was very friendly. Unfortunately after we got our food he only checked on us once maybe 5 mins after we got our food. He seemed too busy talking to the other young man up front. I had to go up to him to tell him we wanted the check. The food was pretty delicious. I got the brisket tray and liked all of it. My husband got the brisket sandwich. The bbq chips didn't have much of a bbq flavor though, they were more salty tasting. The price is affordable for what you get. I liked their sauces.

Way more than five star worthy!! We loved this place! Staff was super friendly and willing to answer any questions that we had, without acting like it was killing them to do so! Special shout out to our server, Jordan. He was exceptionally nice and attentive!! Love the decor in this place. Just fabulous! They give you this cute little carafe of water, which was adorable! The food was absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich with fries, and absolutely LOVED the coleslaw! I had the Pitmaster Special, and it was heaping with food! I got 4 bones, 4oz of pulled pork, 4oz of brisket, 2 sides and a piece of cornbread. The meat was excellent, the mashed potatoes were good, the green beans had onions, which I can work around, but the Mac and cheese….I’m gonna have to agree with other reviewers, that it did have a weird/different taste, so much so, that I couldn’t finish it. Not the end of the world though. It wouldn’t keep me from going back. The cornbread with honey butter was also delicious, but could’ve stood to be a little warmer. We tried the house bbq, sweet bbq and heat bbq. My husband liked the house bbq best. It was the most subtle in flavor. I favored the sweet and the heat bbq sauces. Both definitely had good flavor and weren’t overpowering! We will definitely be back!! Keep up the good work SmokeWorks!!

Our food was cold. The ribs, brisket, and chicken were all cold and dry. The macaroni and cheese was really grainy and cold. Our waitress brought us another macaroni side and it was luke warm at most, and it looked like macaroni and cheese soup. You can see this in the photo. Corn bread was okay, maybe the best thing on the tray. Maybe we came on a bad kitchen staff day? However we will definitely not be stopping in here to eat again. And no, we do not recommend it.

I give it 2 stars, instead of 1, because of the great whiskey selection. However, the bbq is disgusting....it's gross. Take a look at my photos. The sausage was a terrible, grey, boiled, disgusting mess. The brisket was shoe leather. The ribs were dry as hell.

We celebrated our anniversary weekend in Bloomington and had a great meal at SmokeWorks! We had the Sampler tray which included ribs, chicken, brisket, pork and sausage. Our sides were green beans, cowboy caviar and coleslaw. The dry rub was excellent and the sampling of all of their sauces rounded out the meal. A huge whiskey menu topped off a wonderful dining experience!
